Honestly, these vets pull off the "fuck the Drumph and fuck the Alt-right" shit way, way, way better than fuckin' Stray from the Path with their silly "You got knocked the fuck out" nonsense.
Plus "Take Me Higher" is unironically great funk infused rap metal.
You ever listen to a Christian radio station and wonder why the music fucking sucks? It's because they start from an ideology and then make music to fit with it. It's propaganda rather than art.
It's the same when you start with a political ideology and then work backwards to the music. Propaganda sucks.
Jack Parker
I bet you were listening to MCR and Fall Out Boy like crazy when you were 16.
That's not to say this album is perfect. Its quite flawed, especially with how repetitive some parts on some songs get, but I think the good outweigh the bad.
Not a mind melt listen like Bottomless Pit, but not a bad way to waste 40 minutes.
Gabriel Torres
>It's the same when you start with a political ideology and then work backwards to the music. Propaganda sucks. >what is Moon Man?
See, I can play this game too.
Jacob Watson
*If done badly Skrewdriver, for example, is very good despite norming from a propaganda Ian Stuart's voice is hilarious yet entertaining, and the lo-fi crust gives it a very comfy vibe
Levi Perez
Funny thing is that Skrewdriver wasn't meant to be neo-nazi bullshit at the start.
It only became that when a member went from edgelord to unironic fucktard that they became a neo-nazi wankfest.
Josiah Long
the album art is gay it looks like it only has four fingys but in reality the fith fingy is hidden under the thumb
Camden Smith
>I bet you were listening to MCR and Fall Out Boy like crazy when you were 16.
wow you really showed him
Camden Robinson
>hurrr old Skrewdriver was better
This is the biggest lie spread to denigrate the achievements of their later discography. Yes, later Skrewdriver had some duds (lookin' at you, "Back in Black" cover), but anyone unironically claiming this is either deluding themselves, lying to others in a desperate bid to steer others away from their best material or just simply has shit taste.
Everything they did after, including "After the Fire" and even "The Strong Survive", is better than "All Skrewed Up".
I wasn't even really listening to RATM all that much, let alone Public Enemy (their version of Bring Tha Noize with Anthrax, notwithstanding).
Don't even like Cypress Hill (fuck that collab song with Fear Factory, which almost killed the otherwise solid "Digimortal" album in cold blood). Just commenting on the album in its own merits.
Zachary Diaz
I don't even fuckin' listen to Skrewdriver.
Wasn't even claiming that pre-shithead neo-nazi Skrewdriver is better than post-shithead neo-nazi Skrewdriver, because I just don't give a fuck.
...that said, fuck you if you think Infester is NSDM just because the original pressing of In the Depths has what may or may not be a swastika in one photo. That shit actually kicks ass.
Hunter Powell
>fuck you if you think Infester is NSDM I never said that. Wasn't even aware the original pressing had a Swastika until today. The original "Transilvanian Hunger" had "Norsk Arisk Black Metal" printed on the back, and they obviously aren't remotely NS.
You brought up Skrewdriver, so I felt compelled to respond with the obvious.
Dominic Cruz
>You brought up Skrewdriver, so I felt compelled to respond with the obvious.
Actually brought them up in the first place.
Mason Harris
>when your only argument for an album being good is that it's not as bad as stray from the path
Owen Ward
huwhite power!
Cameron Edwards
Some of the instrumentation is overall pretty solid.
The biggest issues is that the lyrics, despite what they want to accomplish, are way more shallow than they should be.
Jace Barnes
it's not terrible, just incredibly mediocre. This album is just evidence that Rage is nothing without Zack
Jose Murphy
What the fuck are you on about? Most art pieces have an idea the creator is trying to convey.
You know nothing about art.
Jordan Lewis
lyrics are shit vocals are shit message is shit drums are shit guitarwork is incredibly mediocre bass is okay but nothing special and isn't enough to carry the rest of the shitshow
and worst of all none of these things come together cohesively. it's like each piece of the jigsaw is there doing its own thing but they jammed it together sloppily and have a few pieces that fell on the carpet
David Nelson
>that edgy video where they explode Milo and Gavin McInnes's heads
Gavin Robinson
It's a mixture of it sounding incredibly dated and incredibly safe. It might be considered better if the retards didn't market themselves as a world changing revolutionary act.
INNOVATIVE BRAVE DEFIANT REBELLIOUS FUCKING HARD FUCKING OUTDATED MUSIC FUCKING LITERAL MYSPACE TIER VIDEO EDITING AND FOOTAGE FUCKING FOURTY TO FIFTY YEAR OLD MILLIONAIRES PRETENDING THEY'RE THE REBELLION
Nobody's trying to pretend Moon Man is an intelligent, brilliant revolutionary act worthy of sales and praise. Moonman is a literal fucking meme made with a text-to-voice processor and other peoples' beats.
The "Left can't meme" thing is dumb but if the sorts of responses you get imply text-to-speech engines using a McDonalds reference over other peoples' beats are equivalent to millionaires making a superband for political reasons, you should probably re-evaluate the way you think about it.
Elijah Wood
Skrewdriver blow and if that's the best the far right has to offer it's nothing compared to the left. Death in June are OK, not incredible.
It's musically great but the guitar tone gives me a headache.
Parker Wright
Leaving aside their childish politics: I thought Unfuck The World was pretty silly but this is some of the worst music I've ever heard from established musicians.
Colton Roberts
This is incredible
Justin Foster
>Skrewdriver blow They were one of the best punk bands of their time. I'm not even white but those early albums get your toe tapping. Lots of other UK punk at the time was art school shit which is okay but sometimes I just need something dumb and hard as nails. UK Oi in general is pretty good for that and (in most cases) the less PC, the better.
>best the far right has to offer I mean classical music composers were far right, dunno if that's your thing. Military marches in general tend to be pretty badass regardless of origin and that's right wing. There's also tons of 10/10 black metal with right wing views but again that might not be your thing.
>Death in June They weren't even fascists I don't think, they just had fascist imagery.
>Admit You're Shit Great band that never gets mentioned
Jacob Garcia
They are old sellout geezers, who milked out the evil capitalist and racist system to the max, yet they still rock the red stars and revolution bullshits. It´s music for rich white kids, who thinks they are way smarter than rest of population.
Shit, they are arent even from Russia and dont wear tracksuit like pic related
They have to wear ski masks to hide their identities for fear of reprisal. Kids like that get their heads cut off by russian skinheads in the woods.
Jason King
>It´s music for rich white kids, who thinks they are way smarter than rest of population. Nothing more cringe worthy than the teenage student pretending they're a manual labourer or an intellectual because they parrot what someone else has told them what their opinion is.
Jacob Ramirez
well it speak off something, when in russia you got to wear mask and hide all day or get stabbed or gang-stomped by nazis for making music like that, while in america you are on the mainstage and biggest threat to you is cartoon frog and trumps tweets
Angel Ramirez
I agree, we could all learn a thing or two from Russia.
Nathaniel Rivera

Joseph Hill
such a shame these kids will never live in communism, it would be fun watch these being ostracized from society for being weak faggots, while they could do nothing to help it because of no human rights, no free speech, no alternative party, no free information, no internet and no open borders
David Cooper
Nigga please, Gwar blew up people, raped them, feed them to the world maggot and more, much more.
Ryder Wood
>why am I being made to work? I thought this was all about smoking weed and public sex? Dude wtf why am I being set to the gulag? This was supposed to be a utopia based around my infallible version of communism.
Asher Bailey
Wtf I thought all that shit was not real communism
Jaxson Young
Welcome to the real world of communism
Grayson Butler
...
Angel Taylor
Is this just a compilation of hooligan songs?
John Cooper
Unfortunalty Adolf doesn't have the last laugh.
Luis Lewis
Yup.
Levi Rogers
Nah other guy's meme was better
Leo Russell
Cool thread OP, but are Death in June national socialists?
Nathaniel Fisher
no
Robert Robinson
As in the original songs, right?
Jordan Barnes
fuck off nazis if you arent with us, you are the enemy not really afaik they are right-leaning anti-authoritarians
I just don't get what the point of releasing a bunch of foreign football anthems is
Though I will say Partizan is a banger
Nathan Ross
>Preach wealth redistribution and class struggle >Live millionaire ivy league educated lifestyle
Gee I wonder how that could have ever failed to maintain itself....
Brody Gomez
>They weren't even fascists I don't think, they just had fascist imagery.
I think the closest we got to finding out Doug's actual views was where he said that Strasserism and National Bolshevism were a thing and that they were more complex and interesting to him than Nazism and fascism and sort of implied that if he was anything he would be in the former instead of the latter. But I don't know when that interview was, so he could have different views now than he did back then.
