pretty cool

Inaccurate

The majority of wind instruments are shit tier but the flute is pretty based

This, have you actually tried to play one?

It took me a day to even get a shitty sound of it. Glad I stuck with it, though. It's a satisfying instrument to play.

I got my hopes up thinking this would be a gloomy post-punk band with a flautist.

What's wrong with the other winds?

Probably never hear the beauty that is bass clarinet

youtube.com/watch?v=GohBkHaHap8

That video also shows that the Bb and A clarinet are also great wind instruments.

I prefer that bass, but clarinet in general is good

brass > woodwinds

Shouldn't be if the composer, conductor, and ensemble all know what they're doing.

Flutes aren't really "important" in the grand scheme of things. There is no "secret truth".

The Flue is a woodwind instrument capable of great beauty and virtuosity. Considered quite an "agile" instrument, it is capable of playing many notes in a short time.

The Flute has a shrill, piercing timbre in the high register at any dynamic above mf. at low registers it is much more mellow and sultry, and doesn't really go above f in dynamics (even when asking for fff dynamic).
The mid range at mf dynamic has a smooth, pure tone and is quite pleasant on the ears.

The flute has a smaller cousin - The piccolo, and there are alto flutes and bass flutes as well.

you stick it in ur bumbum ROFLMAO

Those who can play it with braces on are to be feared.

Ian Anderson overdid it to hell and back and now I can't stand Jethro Tull or the flute in general anymore. Piece of shit.

Funk flutes are the peak of flute music

Sorry my friends, but bassoon rules the roost.

French horn is very nice. Can't be denied. Other brass can suck my jagon.

Oboe is GOAT woodwind instrument

"no"

Obligatory.
