Practical effects.
SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better than CGI.
They can be
AMAZING
>hating on an extremely low-budget film by a first-timer, in nineteen EIGHTY TWO
Kill yourself. With a practical gun, not a CGI one. No, really. You may think I'm just kidding around, but I'm not. Kill yourself.
Bad practical effects are charming. Bad cgi is just boring.
was it kino?
AAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGHHHHkino
The whole way because I've seen Basket Case probably a dozen times.
Anyway, the ending of Part 2 is amazing, and it's probably still among my favorite movies.

Sorry...They only have a German version up, lol.
The Basket Case trilogy, and most of Hennenlotters output is indeed, Kino.
What is up with these Basket case threads lately? Did people just now accidentally discover it?
>faggot posts thread about basket case
>ten new anons learn about it
>one of them decides to post another thread a few days later
and so on
Desu Basket Case was really boring. Lots of long periods of waiting for him to attack, so we just have to sit there watching someone walk around for a while. Basket Case 2 is on the same level, also really boring, although I do like that they decided to change things up rather than just repeating the exact same movie.
Third one was mildly entertaining. That mech they build for him, the BDSM girl in the prison, shit was fucking nuts.

Has been talking about this movie for a few weeks, saying its a hidden masterpiece
I'm not surprised to learn that it looks like shit
Real Human Bean (that guy who used to make Banepost videos) has been shilling it a lot lately. His newest video was nothing but OP's clip.

shu the fuck ericyou nigger
god dammit Sup Forums was supposed to be meme free for good
First and second are best b/movies ever.
third is trash
not really, at least you can observe what materials they incorporated, what they were trying to imitate with its moves, you can add real slime and goo on monsters etc. When its cgi (either good or bad) your brain automatically views it as piece of fucking video game glued over screen
Jesus christ.
>Jeez. This is gonna be some family!
>mfw
The Basket Case trilogy is pure 80s horror kino
kek
>shilling for Shudder
Dude, I plan on getting it. Relax.
>slowly pulls out the folder
>slowly skims through it
>screams and throws the documents everywhere
kek
This is pure kino.
I love how he picks up the chair leg and immediately drops it. Someone had to animate that.
very, very impressive, but it's a lot of motors, a lot of moving parts, dust, water etc can make make them break down then you're stuck for hours taking them apart and putting them back together, which means you're behind on the shoot. Practical effects are superior in terms of looks and in that actors can actually act and react to them, but the reliability just isnt there.
whats funny is that you judge a movie that came in 1982 from a first time director on an extremely low budget movie and yet the practical effects although shitty, look better than the shit cgi you see in the new thing or most other shitty scifi movies these days.
That wasn't the first time I laughed but definitely got me the goodest
stay gold Sup Forums
