Album was a mess. Give me 'The Smile Sessions' or Brian Wilson's 2004 rendition of 'Smile' any day.
That being said.
youtube.com
If you like The Beach Boys, you should like this one. I'd like to see a horror movie in which massive amounts of people are being slaughtered to this song.
I agree the album is a mess. Pet Sounds is way better, but Good Vibrations is still god-tier.

Best Beach Boys song
Wasn't Smiley Smile a kinda piss-take album cos the rest of the band were getting sick of Brian Wilson's shit?
A lot of stuff going on for a 2:46 song.
I could see that. Brian was crazy, sure. But he was also a genius.
>psychedelic masterpiece

Smile Sessions is an amazing album and Surfs Up is absolutely beautiful.
2004 smile was great even with brian's old man voice
This song gives me chills every time I listen to it,
That's right, it was a mess for a number of reasons up to and including Brian Wilson's mental instability.
Wouldn't you know it, the bastards would only record about a dozen singles then disappear.
Here's another good one.

Yes, yes nigger.
For sure. One of the best songs I've ever heard.
The Doors - Riders on the Storm
The Velvet Underground - Venus in Furs
Jimi Hendrix - All Along the Watchtower
Nirvana - In Bloom
Blue Oyster Cult - Don't Fear the Reaper
Holy shit that's depressing.
basic bitch detected
Not even the best BOC song
Relaxing songs?

ALL THE SONGS!
anyone remember this from english class?

Vocalist reminds me of Michael Crawford. If you're gonna do something from Romeo and Juliet, it should be this masterpiece:
Nope. Teacher made us watch the DiCaprio version.
No, but I do remember fapping to that (barely) two seconds of bare Juliet tit.
checked
under age tits btw
Hence the song, and as we all know it's OK if it's in the name of art.
i love the song but not the chorus. chorus ruins it.
garbage
any house fans in here? this set is fucking amazing

And finally- what I think is arguably the best piece of music ever written... The man who made it was only fifteen years of age at the time of composing it. Bach is a God...

The opening violin notes in Danse Macabre always reminded me of Beetlejuice. I agree with many of these choices, but some are just meh.
It was also funny/weird to be scrolling through the comments on one of those videos and see one of my own comments from a few months ago haha.
If you have access to rhubarb... make a strawberry rhubarb pie... thank me later
>listening to Smiley Smile expecting a bunch of baroque pop
If you learn to take it as the lo-fi outsider album it is it becomes a lot better
That whole album is awesome.
This is pretty damn good to listen to while high.

I like it
Yeah but it's like you're saying that The Smile Sessions and Brian Wilson Presents Smile are replacements for Smiley Smile and they aren't really. Smiley Smile is obviously not a real attempt to recreate the maximalist Smile and actually an attempt to do the opposite, which is make a pop album in the most minimalist, chill way possible. It actually is really a success at being the latter, especially with tracks like youtube.com
Agreed amazing
Don't get me wrong, I legitimately enjoy anything by the Beach Boys (up to Keepin' the Summer Alive, at least). I'm really only being contrarian because I'm on Sup Forums, here's a cut from my personal favorite LP of theirs.
Pink Floyd Matilda mother can’t get the god damn embed to work. Tremendous song.
Good one. Reminds me of The Alan Parsons Project
big pun wrecked it
