To answer your question...it depends on your expectations.

Still beats sending promos and review request for blogs. At least here there is a small chance you get feedback.

fair point

Took a listen to the first track.
Kick and snare bottom disappears at times.
A hint of sidechain compression to the bassline would fix it.

Idk, I'm hyped for the next Sup Forumsgaze albums and whatever pleasance house puts out next. I'd be hyped for some of your guys' releases if you guys did a better job at promoting them or made better albums instead of having a cool collection of songs.

What bugs me is that its usually the same OP in the other threads who never gives feedback but says he will. We only move forward as artists if people help others out

This. Most music blogs don't give a fuck about helping the little guy

I appreciate the nice album covers, and how you keep a specific theme for each album cover, but they are hard to tell apart.
As for the music, it's well constructed electronic music, but gets a bit frustrating after a while with all these literal beep boops, and it doesn't really make me feel anything except for standing in a room of vibrant colours with polka dots all around
It's exactly the music I'd play if I ever go to see a Yayoi Kusama installation

I do give feedback if the thread is still alive. I'm studying right now so I'm less of a NEET with too much time on his hands than I was before, forgive me if I just dump and leave occasionally.

there are couple of different styles.
like this one is more dark drone and less bleep bloop jaripitkanen.bandcamp.com/album/sirin-2012
but i get your point. can't expect people to listen all 17 albums. planning on creating aliases for different styles to help on that. thanks for input.

Still looking for Toronto artists who wanna play a show in December
Heavy as fuck
Pretty good stuff, nice use of vocal samples
Wish the vocals were a bit more front and center, guitar can be kinda loud at times.
The songs themselves are fucking great though!

Very true, I kinda was shit with this at first but its definitely good to help other people who's music you enjoy out. Ive got one guy on the bill for a show in december and hopefully I can collab with people here to play live whenever we're free.

Bumping this fucker.
It depends a lot on what you're expecting. I used to post my own music expecting feedback, but I grew and got more confident about it. Now I obviously give feedback to people who are giving actual feedback, as they deserve it, and they're not only doing it to don't look like assholes, even when I'm not looking for feedback myself.
I'm currently releasing music from different artists through Chile and I honestly enjoy watching them get comments and listens, as their work deserves to be shared. That's why I come into this threads in the first place.

hahahaha thanks for ruining my cover,
I admit that I laugh a lot

thanks man!

Environment quite seductive, I felt like I was in an aquarium. I liked it a lot, high level cyberpunk hypnosis.

surprised me a lot, very well structured songs and wonderful performance, great work!

I liked the way you worked the energy in "Onanism". Brought me the idea of a sudden interruption and the frustration it caused

Thanks a lot!
Thanks man! really like the atmosphere your going for. Will listen to the rest in a bit.
Great stuff as always, thanks for the rec!

i feel like the album has too many filler tracks.
it would make a killer ep.
the tracks that are good are fucking good but the rest are quite shit and if listened first are what this will be judged by.
that said i will be posting this further as it has potential.

i think you need a bassist

I remember seeing your music a while ago (I think you used to post acoustic stuff on soundcloud, right?). Maybe I'm wrong but the name Caleb Chase rings a bell for me. Beep Boop Zoop sounds pretty cool, reminds me of some Hecker (not Tim Hecker but the other one). Cool stuff. I like the self-titled caleb chase release too, reminds me a little like The Microphones

This reminds me of my indie rock phase back in school, I used to listen to nothing but stuff like Franz Ferdinand, Weezer, Death Cab for Cutie, that kinda thing. Feels quite nostalgic for me really. Nice hazy sound to it too.

This is gorgeous to listen to, user. Very dry western sounding, reminds me a little of the aesthetic that Earth album went for (Hex: Or Printing in the Infernal Method) with a little of Swans' My Father Will Guide Me (Reeling The Liars In especially). Really cool work, downloaded.

I was the guy who asked if the album was on the way! Really dug your song, man, can't wait to hear more.

Thanks for the feedback, also interesting range of sounds you have going for your album.
What kind of films do you make?

Really wanted to like this but those guitar tones are abysmal in a bad way, piercing my ears.
Even on low volume it sounds awful and this coming from a guy who likes mainly black metal demos.
Also you have drums too loud(1st track) or too low(2nd).
Apart from that it was ok. Nailed the whole look with the cover art.

Thanks user, I usually try to go for a variety.

I've made a few music videos for my own tracks as well as some for a few friends. I've co-directed a short documentary about a retired supernatural investigator, written a short film about a blind man and his dog (can share link if you want) and I'm currently writing a feature-length thriller. I'm currently focusing more on screenwriting at the moment as I have more opportunity available there. I do have a youtube channel but I've not had much time to really make any more films for it for a while.

just now finished the cover.

album out in a lil bit

funky, I dig it
This is pretty lush. I'd love it if you brought the lead guitar down a lil bit. I feel like it's making the bass and drums duck out pretty hard, which leads to a pretty weird swelling effect during the pauses.
this is actually pretty cool. I think the vox could be mixed in a little better but the overall sound design is really rad. Reminds me a lot of IKWYAAYAN
I think you guys could work on implementing some rhythmic mixups. The verse-chorus structure can get taxing if there isn't something strong to keep me interested. obvs this is just a demo tho
rec

hey, Bersain made some great music

clean production, not huge on the modern drum sound but yall make it work. Dig the mixups.
good aesthetic. brainmelter's great. Love this a lot.

how do i make music like this?

thanks for the feedback, I mixed the vocals differently for ya

Plug your mixer output to the input and fiddle around with the pots (works best if you put delay pedal in the chain) until you get beep boops
Then just play power chords on the guitar and put as many effects on it on FL studio as possible. Don't forget to overuse dorian scale

I used that quote because the album is about abuse and helplessness. It's from an old video about convicted sex offenders.
