that first album is so fucking good. I don't blame them for peaking with that. JD poured his fucking soul into the delivery and lyrics on that album and I can feel it everytime I listen. The nigger had a hard life.
Fear of music is better

I've never seen a band get so progressively worse as their discography continued....

...

Second Helping was good, but they never came close to the OG

Stating the obvious, I know.
Actually I think they had a good run up to Insomniac.
Queen could never recapture the glory of their first album but I think everything up to Live Killers is GOAT, especially Sheer Heart Attack. After 1979, forget it. They wouldn't find their groove again until Innuendo.
Actually A Saucerful of Secrets is right up there with PATGOD. After that, the only album really worth listening to would be Meddle. (BTW ever hear PATGOD in MONO?)
Actually, IMO, the first four albums are GOAT, but, unfortunately Heaven Tonight sounds too slick and sterile, which is a shame because there are some great songs on it.
I liked them better when the went by Crimpshrine
most of them honestly
there isn't a single band that has an album that stands out so much from the rest other than the obvious bands with short discographies
...
