Movies people pretend to dislike.
Movies people pretend to dislike
...
its deeply mediocre
Meme off bro, me and you
Interstellar
there are some bad motives and characters in there but overall it's okay.
it would be so much better without the "dance off bro" part
>watch movie
>the villain is defeated with the power of friendship
It was ok.
The lack of makeup aliens for the second half of the movie felt really off.
you just salty cause you have no friends
This is the only movie that actually benefitted from the quirky marvel formula. Probably because it wasnt a sequel to a serious epic character study
and because James Gunn was behind it
they should put him charge of the MCU
yeah but this sort of mental gymnastics makes me feel good about liking garbage
nothing wrong with liking low-brow entertainment as long as you recognize it as such
GotG is fun, pure and simple
...
...
why would you? nothing to be ashamed in embracing the shitty movies you happen to like for any reason. just don't expect people agreeing with you.
if you dislike this movie YOU CANNOT BE MY FRIENDO
>fun
cringe
What do you mean by low-brow? I was very entertained by the movie and that makes it top tier entertainment for me.
I know right, imagine enjoying something, how awful!
>fun = cringe
end your life violently
low-brow as in the intention is distracting the audience from their pathetic lives and allowing them to escape for an hour or two, and nothing more
I don't mean to denigrate the film at all, I love it in fact
>fun
very cringe
>Redditors of the Reddaxy
>people talk about its flaws therefore they dislike it
Guardians was very entertaining and I admired its manic energy, it and the first Iron Man are the only two Marvel movies I've really liked. That said:
>meme-off, bro!
>le 80's music XD
>epic references
>generic mcguffin plot
>the power of friendship
Not being able to cop to obvious flaws in stuff you like is one of the worst aspects of entertainment fanbase culture.
Those aren't exactly big flaws, if flaws at all. Sure, the power of friendship thing was kinda cheesy, but I see no problem with the rest.
turned it off at the dancing part in the beginning
mcguffins are about as box-standard to comics as you can get.
Complaining about them in comic book movies is pretty trivial.
DUDE THE KOREAN FLICK I PRETEND TO LKE ON FACEBOOK POINT TO SEEM CULTURED IS BETTER LMAO
Welcome to kids comic book movies. It's a basic genre designed to appeal to teenagers
I don't even want to watch this because the entire movie is based around the twist at the end and once you know it the plot seems stupid
