What bands have some god tier album artwork aesthetic?

What bands have some god tier album artwork aesthetic?

...

...

How come I see Big Black and Jesus Lizard on almost every single chart everywhere here but people seem to be fucking oblivious that other noise rock bands actually exist?

because it was on Sup Forumscore charts

...

...

Fuck I always mix up Big Black and Black Flag and I dont know why

The same reason Sup Forums only knows about Dead Kennedys and Black Flag

Because only the best of a category remains over time, which is why there are like 7 or 8 composers people actually discuss.

>Because only the best of a category remains over time, which is why there are like 7 or 8 composers people actually discuss.
If you only dig the very surface level of art, sure.

joy division had the GOAT aesthetics

it's a shame their music was average though, except for Decades, Atrocity Exhibition, and Love will tear us apart

No, you're really being blinded by Sup Forums ideology. The cream of the crop rises to the top given enough time. Bach and Brahms remain because they made better music. You're not going to find some minnow conservatory student who created a masterpiece symphony 200 years after he lived. The amount of great music never found in history is probably rather small.

...

what are your opinions on the original Headache EP artwork, OP?

>couldnt find a full size pic

prob unpopular opinion but i love their cartoon-ish goofy aesthetic

...

It's a bit needlessly edgy, not too fond of the sfw Headache artwork either

Holy shit this, I fucking love Baizley's stuff. I love Baroness's music obviously a lot but damn do I love his art so much.

it was all peter saville anyways, new order is pretty much the same shit

All great
The first row is great, the second row looks like something out of soundcloud.
I like that they all look like the band sounds, but at the same time, they all look the same.
Purple faces are funny, Green was a better cover than Yellow.

I think Hot Snakes have pretty great covers.

Any of Necrolord's stuff I love
Wintersun, In the Nightside Eclipse, Storm of the Light's Bane, The Gallery...
I love it all

I love bands that have a certain theme reflected in all of their album covers. May it be edgy or not it's still cool I think. Take Unsane for example, their covers perfectly resemble the music you hear and the band is true to themselves completely.

I've only listened to about 2 Swans songs in my life but I love their album art aesthetic

Rush albums

MOTHERFUCKER! I love those covers. Albini made them himself right? I was trying to find info on them some years ago, but there is no definitive answer online (never held 'em in my own had)

...

I love Unsane, and for some reason I get them mixed up with Helmet.

This dude wants to be Mucha so bad.

I like Stanley's art

The Jesus Lizard is just a really fucking good band. People forget it but they only put out good fucking albums for the period Dennis was in the band.

pre-prison Varg was great

I'm not a big swans fan but their album artwork is really cool

Forget bands, it's all about Pen & Pixel

...

I mean, has Unwound ever done anything not god tier?

(not true by the way)

lum

(True by the way)

...

...

El-P the goat

Only bought the vinyl record cuz of how pretty it was.

everything until post prison was good

smashing_pumpkins_discog.jpg

I have this album framed in my room.

this

Only the most godtier groups breakup after they drop their most experimental and perhaps best album.

They're even designed by Jacob himself

too bad their music sucks

...

the hell
this is straight fanmade-tier garbage, what are you on exactly ? looks like fucking 15yo teen playing with photoshop

These look trash.

The /noiserock/ threads here are always somewhat diverse.

Matias adolfson is the GOAT
Also the guy that did yes' album art

Bad b8 m8

Step aside, plebs.

...

Fuck off m8, JD defined goth culture

mass replies are cancer. also, you probably have shit taste

galaxie 500, but I'm on phone and don't have a picture
naomi (bassist) was a graphic designer and hand cut a lot of the fonts

Mew, Marillion and Dream Theater

always liked '90s oasis, all the single sleeves fit perfectly. same guy also did all the verve records

Tell me your fave album there and I'll check it out

everyone on Sup Forums (should) know galaxie 500. I agree, their covers are pretty great

Listen to Dub Housing and Modern Dance first, and then maybe St. Arkansas and Ray Gun Suitcase.
Or if you want to listen to something insane just go for New Picnic Time and The Art of Walking.

GOD TIER I LOVE RACER X

Also I love all the King Gizz artwork. It's usually the same guy and he goes all out and does some crazy shit

Sub Housing

The Modern Dance and Dub Housing.

Yea? Well post your favorite one, big boy.

Song of the Bailing Man is decent also

Yeah but the covers for Beauty and Invent Yourself a Shortcake aren’t actual covers, I believe. It’s like fan made.

here are a lot of great noise rock bands, but JL and BB still stand amongst the best in the genre.

...

For some reason I feel Supertramp covers are maximum comfy

...

Even after they made lesser albums after Tanz, Amon Duul II had an aesthetic that could not be fucking beat.

...

I reaaly like rick frobergs art

drive like jehu, hot snakes

How the fuck has no one posted them yet?

...

Their other album arts are ok, but this one is incredible

Its interesting how many bands have used William Eggleston pictures for covers

...

Pere Ubu's cover arts are atrocious. He can't keep getting away with this.

So true. Not a big fan of their music, but they've got some great artwork.

Iconic and timeless

So good.

been a while since we've had one.

I thought they came with the box set reissue
