Can we please have a serious discussion about the current state of American politics without some fucking autistic pricks yelling drumpf or shillary? Foreigners welcome I’d like to hear your take. For the record I’m an independent who voted Trump and I’m glad I did. And it’s not because I love Trump it’s just because he was flat out better than Hillary or the bern.

Idk i am not from Usa :]

Excited for my increased tax return. Nice to keep more of your own money.

Trump has been alright. Personally he's not for as much "Liberty" as I'd like, but it's a solid step in the right direction. Away from "daddy take care of me" left, and getting away from "bible" republicans who want to regulate morality.

I am a Christfag but I hate morality regulations. But I do hate "Equity by outcome over oppurtunity" more, so I'm still voting red.

Not a registered voter any longer. Played the game for years and got tired of watching all the talking heads and getting into arguments with others.

To me, it doesn't matter who is president. He/she is a puppet. Trump is just a more entertaining puppet, so he got the nod (kind of).

If you would sit back an chill, kill all the news. You'll realize you don't need politics in your life and you're better off for it.

DRUMPFTH
DRUMPFTH
DRUMPFTH

I love guns and can own lots of them.

I fucking love Talking Heads

I too enjoy not taking any part in how my country is run.

At least vote for your locals. I sorta understand how you feel about the higher levels but you're vote really matters to locals.

I might ultimately be a 'libtard' but I don't mind people voting for white devils (j/k) and such, freedom of speech right?

but trump provoking nuclear war and shit? come on.. I don't think trump is working in the best interest of white/middle class/working poor people either which I think is a shame

...

I understand that would be a little more morally responsible but I removed myself enough to not know the game anymore. Couldn't tell you what one candidate had over the other or what their causes were. Just don't pay attention to it anymore.

I understand voters going for tax breaks, and matching beliefs. Truth to me is people chance the wrong issues and look for easy outs.

Wants extra money in your pocket? Work harder, consume less, save more.

ok riddle me this Sup Forums, why is the 'socialist' mindset of wanting to help and care for others so inconceivable?

not trying to provoke, just generally curious

>American politics
>not full of idiots

Just voted in my first election last time and you know what? Im sick to death of it. That campaign was a nightmare and a shitshow and i dread having to put up with that kind of fuckshit every 4 years

True misconception.
AMERICANS help each other and are nice to one another. Don't be live what you read and see.

Look at any disaster man/natural. Look at your local YMCA, Hospital or Red Cross. People in general want to help. Politics is just BS. Again, talking heads.

I believe that 100%, the US has been always been like that historically speaking. however, the federal government (e.g. trump) has done very little to help the little man with facing long term economic/technological advancements

Same as it ever was

Land of opportunity, not land of given fortune.
"Little Man" can do what ever he wants and become whatever he wants. Parents play a larger role than the government ever will.

you mean like reducing the corporate and personal tax rate thereby allowing them to keep more money to reinvest in new tooling and technology?

I think you underestimate the power of the government

I wasn't necessarily talking about taxes, just the general idea of investing in lucrative long term investments that benefit those in low(er) socio-economic classes as well

It's not the governments job to plan for and save for your future.

first youl have to teach muricans the differences between liberalism, progressivism, libertarianism and conservatism. Then you will have to explain that the political spectre of the us is without the left, then maybe youl have some half-educated discussion

You cannot both lower taxes on the public and invest money back into the community which is not paying.

The role of the federal government is protection of its citizens, their rights. State governments have a role in public health, utilities, reform, and education.

I don't understand why you would assume it's the job of congress/President to get housing/food/education for every sole in the U.S.? Taxes cant pay for all that, especially when you "enjoy" that extra money in your pocket.
