/chart/ bread

The usual shit. Rate, rec, guess personalities, whatever. Try not to be a lazy-poster.

My chart's not in order and I moved all of the Sup Forumscore down to the bottom 4 rows recently.

I should probably try to get back into The Dear Hunter, actually. I remember liking them a good bit in middle school and I got my sister into them and now they're literally her favorite band, has a tattoo of the act 3 album art I think, and she's been pestering me to listen to act 4 and 5 for a long while.

Have you ever made a million dollars off your talent?

I haven't LilUziVert. I only listened to Luv is Rage because the cover is cool. I pretty much hate rap music as much as I hate myself.

If only for the reason that some 18 year old who can't read music (and for this reason I suspect the vast majority of this people on this forum who don't think Kendrick Lamar isn't the second cumming of Jesus [yes coming was intentionally missspelled in a futile attempt at humor. I've never made anyone laugh in my life] get upset) let alone even actually LITERALLY READ or graduate highschool (which I haven't done either. I don't even have a job. I'm a fucking idiot. I ask my mother for ten dollars everyday so I can buy two microwave pizzas. I track my calories in MyFitnessPal. Each of those have 720 calories so in effect I'm consuming 1400~ calories everyday. I still can't fucking lose weight despite eating twice a day) is running circles around you despite the fact that you went to college, you post your cool chart on Sup Forums, you've learned how to play a barre chord (I pushed past the initial discomfort of having to squeeze a guitar really hard, which is difficult when you've been 6'5 and 90lbs you're entire life while crying to Loveless in your bedroom because girls think you're fucking weird so you never get to fist fight other children).

Can you imagine dedicating your entire life to learning how to play an instrument only to have some kid from bumfuck ghetto, USA learn he has a talent for inflecting words in a faux melodic way and has the innate musical sense to turn these rudimentary ideas into a cohesive 2-3 minute "banger" despite the fact that you spent two years in undergrad doing hours long analysis of Schubert and realizing that altered dominants, enharmonic modulations and it was all the same thing? A dream you had in a locked room. I can't even write a hit. I'm a fucking failure. I'm prematurely bald. I have low test. I'm socially awkward. I'm a freak.

Gridlink - Longhena
Hayaino Daisuki - The Invincible Gate Mind of the Infernal Fire Hell, or Did You Mean Hawaii Daisuki?

both of those have the same vocalist as Discordance Axis

also Agoraphobic Nosebleed - Agorapocalypse is some pretty fun grindcore too

my gf really likes that Pill Friends album, what's something you would rec based on that so I can tell her some shit to listen to?

ya've got a lot of Red House Chili Painters on you're're are chart? I think you should listen to the Early Demo's.

I honestly like them more than their actual albums, especially since it has god-tier songs like this: youtube.com/watch?v=-nT0iJGt8JI

I like Gridlink a whole lot, but I haven't listened to Hayaino Daisuki nor Agoraphobic Nosebleed yet. I'll check it out

as for the Pill Friends, I genuinely can't think of anything like it, sorry

Where's the fucking Dead Kennedys senpai?

Harvey Milk - Courtesy and Good Will Toward Men

Allo Darlin - Allo Darlin

Since you like prog and Mastodon, maybe you'll like Elder and/or Pallbearer, they're metal but also kind of proggy, esp. their last albums

only posting a top 50 this time, hope y'all can rec some
Siouxsie and the Banshees - Juju

>Ludwig's 9th and Brainbombs on the same chart
a true Patrician

Everything's okay
Walks along the dock
With some sailor's pay
Shoved down in his sock
Everything's okay
With some little boy in blue
Who don't know you like I do

Everything's okay
Took him back to town
Well, I didn't get paid today
So I'm in the lost and found
And I wonder if that clown
Knows just what to do
What to say and what not to

The pretty words that you whispered
Maybe I misunderstood
Somebody's not paying attention
What they promised and their word isn't good

Everything's okay
I'm looking for you now
Down here by the bay
Where the water pounds
Up against the wall
That I'm coming to
Because I can't stay away from you

I don't need no satisfaction
And I don't take just because I can
Sometimes I get a strong impression
That you just don't understand
That kind of man

Everything's okay
I can see your face
Down there in the waves
Painted and erased
But I'm told it's just
The reflection of the moon
A big fake resembling you

I'm going to go down in the water
And fill my mouth up full of sand
And I'll be waiting still impatient
With my dead imagination
While you're with some other man

Everything's okay
I'll be with you soon
I'm walking out to place
My arms around the moon
Yeah, I'll be with you soon
Just as soon as I pay
I'll walk across the water
Everything's okay
Walk on the water
Everything's okay

help me be less basic..
im really into how the idiot and unknown pleasures sounds..

Macha - s/t and See It Another Way
Can - Tago Mago

I only put one album from every artist on my top lists and TPAB is already on there. SILY is somewhere around the 70s though. As for Lanquidity, I've already heard it and I love me some jazz fusion. I am quite curious as to why you'd so adamantly think I'd enjoy GKMC and SILY so please explain if you'd like.

Badmotorfinger - Soundgarden

Overkill - Motörhead
Blowout Comb - Digable Planets

The Twilight Sad znd Suns of thyme are good picks (pic related)

There's also slowdive but that's a bit basic too

REC ME ALBUMS YOU THINK I WOULD LOVE PLEASE. TY.

Thursday: Full Collapse
CityCop: The Hope In Forgiving & Giving Up Hope

Pure X: Pleasure
Yo La Tengo: Painful

Sioux Falls: Rot Forver
Bear vs Shark: Terrorhawk
Moodie Black: Nausea

Swans-Soundtracks for the blind

probably personal bias more than anything - see my top 4. I wouldn't say I "adamantly" think so, just surprising.

I think GKMC is a step up from TPAB in many ways (production, music, lyrics, story) but after a closer look at your chart I can see why you'd prefer TPAB.

SILY is just a really well put-together album. I can't say any individual musical aspect of the album is better than something like Endtroducing or cLOUDDEAD or Crystal Castles but I think SILY makes up for that with variety and a sense of cohseiveness. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

That's why I was surprised. Obviously these aren't concrete facts, just my opinions

I made a new chart. please send recs and give advice

can't stress enough that any fan of Discordance Axis should listen to Gridlink and Hayaino Daisuki, same vocalist, both great.
