Those books were boring as fuck

First Law is superior.

stormlight's better sandershit

Those are some really shitty covers.

>Those books were boring as fuck

They're for plebians.

>genre fiction

kys

These books were really really bad.

I'd accept the Allot of Law series, but fuck Mistborn, jesus christ.

I used to like Abercrombie until I started posting to /lit/ and got better taste

>no Alexander versus the evil librarians adaptation

First Law is still top tier tho

le inverted trope man

good. the first book was the only decent one. it'd work well as an anime or action game, but i wouldn't pay to watch it as a movie.

They sound like complete hackneyed garbage from the taglines alone.

So what you're saying is I'll like it?

>no empire of thorns adaptation

i wish more fantasy authors wrote for movies or video games because i liked that story but as for literature i couldn't stand how he writes. it's too common among genre writers

That's okay, Jorg is kind of an edgelord protagonist.

Jalan is better.

>no true Dresden Files adaptation

The first book was great and then it immediately fell off a cliff. Also the Mormon influences of the writer were shockingly apparent and really soured the books. Kind of a similar situation to the Saord of Truth series which starts as a pretty fun and compelling high fantasy series and then by book 3 the main character is reciting Ayn Rand capitalism speeches. Also the sword of truth series has so much rape in it that it feels like a parody.

This.
Could never be made because the protagonist is a murderous rapist who uses nukes, necromancy and rocks to kill people.

>user without moral clarity

disgusting

>no Book of the New Sun adaptation
can you think of a single director who could do it justice

Gurren Lagann is practically a Mistborn adaption.
It stole most of the plot.

tfw mormons are the chemo curing genre fiction

post apocalyptic fantasy fiction is garbage

All fiction is post-apocalyptic, or there would be dinosaurs and shit everywhere.

Think about that for a while, faggot.

I liked him well enough when he wrote the last 3 Wheel of Time books, will I enjoy these?

Jordan had jumped the shark in the last few years of his life. Any book after 6 is trash.
Sanderson managed to put the series in order and gave it a decent ending. He more or less saved the whole trainwreck.

Mistborn is pretty good. Most of the Sanderson hate comes from his popularity.

He's like the Green Day of fantasy fiction, and all the punk kids are pissed they saw their little sister buying "Dookie" at Sam Goody.

They're strange books with odd characters and a genuinely unlikable world.

They're worth a read. You will probably like them.

...

>no Gor novel film adaptation

Why are you wasting time with genre fiction, when you should be reading Proust or Faulkner?

There have been Gor films. They had one on mst3k.

is that shit still coming out?

my dad had a copy of one of these books from like the early 80s

first book came out in 1966

>no black company late 80s/early 90s television show

Link?

To be honest, famalaladingdong, there's no fucking way in hell they can explain allomancy in a movie.

This would be incredible.

Also OP Mistborn and Sanderson in general is pure dogshit action setpieces interspersed with 2D soulless Mormon-ified characters using awful soulless dialogue. It sucks. So it would be agreat show for the CW.

m.imdb.com/title/tt0095241

MST3K did it's sequel Outlaw (of gor)

you're favorite book is garbage genre fiction pleb >:^)

>tfw no malazan adaptation

>peace talks STILL delayed because butcher wants to keep more from his ex wife

7 was okay, didn't like 8, 9 is underrated, 10 is overhated, 11 was great

Sanderson's novels are straight fucking trash and anyone who likes them more than the originals is just regurgitating Tor's astroturfing and/or has zero taste

Overrated.

The Prince of nothing series on the oherr hand would be amazing.

Confirmed for never having finished malazan
