FINALLY RELEGATED

FINALLY RELEGATED

...

>scrape safety for the past 5 or so seasons
>moyes sends them down in one year

genius of round sphere athletics

>moyes

>MOYES

>Moyes

>MOYES

Honest question: is it really so bad to be relegated?
They don't show the Championship on TV here but I assume the quality is still pretty high, better than MLS I'm sure. And it seems more fun to compete for the top of the league than hope to just scrape by and finish in 17th, being totally outmatched by super rich clubs.

THE CHOSEN ONE

>moyes

>moyes

The quality isn't great, and if you don't make your way out quickly like Newcastle you're doomed to complete irrelevancy.

It would be fine if there was a solid team with a solid manager making progress, but Sunderland are a complete mess.

Premier league teams make bank, championship teams make fucking shit. Can't really improve your club without money.

>moyes

It's absolutely great for banter. Imagine the browns being forced to play college football and Alabama being promoted to the nfl. I mean it's impossible because of legalities but imagine the shitatorm if it were to happen

what will he do next?

TV Money, play 46 games instead 38

depends on structure and financing in a club as well as player contracts.. some utterly collapse after relegation, some fall to being a consistant lower champs team, and only a few bounce right back

>MOYLES

Bad:
- Much lower income (TV money is small)
- Players' salary is still the same
- Lousy pitch condition

if you're not a poorfag bein sports shows some championship matches and the playoffs too

I haven't watched football since Moyes (MOYES?) was with Everton. Was he why Everton was shit?

feel bad for the fans tbqh

tfw no 6 points from toon

Take over at Real Madrid

>feeling bad for cucks

>supporting Al Jazeera

playing in the championship is not fun even for the top teams there
assuming your team is competitive, half of the matches you play the other team parks the bus from kick off and aims for 0-0
also you want to see your team play against the best in the country even if you dont get results very often its more enjoyable than watching your team play the likes of rotherham

>21 points
>only Villa (Tim Sherwood) and Portsmouth (liquidated) have finished worse in the last 10 years

AND YOU COULD HAVE IT ALL

>blaming sherwood for villa
They were poo before and after him

The main problem is loss of revenue, mainly due to the huge TV deals in the PL. Some clubs are capable of dealing with it better than others.
For Sunderland this is even worse as they are already insecure financially, with £110m of debt, most of their revenue being from TV deals with little revenue growth elsewhere, a high wages-to-turnover level and few saleable assets in the squad (Defoe isn't one of them btw, he has a Ba-style clause that lets him leave on a free due to relegation). They probably won't have a squad that can challenge for the second tier either, especially if >moyes is still in charge.

Enjoy playing in Burton Albion's stadium :^^^)

F

...

Jesus Christ that's sad...

Fuck, I hate it when they pick out the old men, who've obviously followed the team for decades.

Fuck the players, staff, owners, whatever.

Guys like him are the ones truly suffering.

why? he'll see his team winning over half of the games in the 2nd division

it's not like Sunderal is a historical 1st division team anyway

is he sunderland's first signing for the championship?

...

:(

...

championship is a very hard league because of the amount of teams. league only you play 8 more games than the premier league.

some teams are forced to sell a lot of their top players simply because those players don't want to play in the championship or with less tv income they cut costs or highly paid players. as a result of this teams often need to rebuild and as history shows this doesn't always work and teams get stuck in the championship for years (leeds, fulham, blackburn, wolves, qpr) or worse they go completely bust and relegated to league 1 or even league 2 (portsmouth, bolton, wigan, coventry)

Will Sunderland actually stick with >moyes after this? It seemed like he was doing a bad job even with the low quality of players.

Mackem here.

Nobody is surprised, not even sad. It's been week after week of defeats and dismal displays. Moyes has sucked the life out of the shitty team and we got what we deserved. Championship here we come.

Hopefully we can drop Moyes, drop 20 shit playes, and rebuild with the great youth team we have.

Haway the lads.
FTM.

>Mam, what does relegated mean?

Watch yourself, you might get a slap

>mfw true geordie's next video comes out

lived long enough to see sunderland relegated just before he gets relegated to hell. sad!

No fucking way mate. The fans have been wanting him out for the last 6 months. If Ellis doesn't sack him before we go there'll be hell-on.

Moyes is without doubt the worst manager we've had in 20 years. He's so fucking negative it's impossible to win a game.

I'll watch that. Fat geordie fuck is canny funny sometimes. It'll probably just be 7 minutes of him laughing.

Haway lads, have a bit dignity eh? The kids got weeks to live.

he can't be 100% happy about this

They've gotta cash in on Pickford and Watmore. Release the cancerous old boys and only keep those with legs and motivation for a 50-something game season. Then hire promotion specialists.

>managed to avoid bottom 3 for entire 14/15 season
impressive

F

You now remember.

They got promoted first time of asking. 1st, 2nd, 3rd who gives a fuck? They did it.

Good luck to the geordie wankers. Hopefully they can stay up a season so we get the derby back next year when we smash the championship.

Pickford is unreal. Without doubt the best young keeper in Britain atm. He'll go to a top 4 club for mega bucks. Hopefully they loan him back to us for a season. If not, farewell Jordan lad.

Watmore needs a season in the championship desu. He's not ready. He's like a headless chicken, never looks up and over-runs most dribbles. Good kid, just needs to upgrade his shit.

You're assuming way too much

This ain't like when River Plate got relegated with a midtable team. See

gib keano back. and Big Nos

they said the same about Independiente
they said the same about Argentinos Juniors

(in England) they said the same about Newcastle

every fucking time a team is relegated, they say it's going to be relegated again, and always ends up being instantly promoted

>it's not like Sunderal is a historical 1st division team anyway
I hope this is bait. Nobody is that stupid.

Sorry Pep, we won't be seeing them again for a few years.

There have been keano rumours for the past few months. Ellis is trying to sell the club and keano was one of the names mentioned. Maybe another Irish consortium.

Fuck I miss those Irish days.

aston villa will finish midtable and norwich aren't coming up either

Read the posts I pointed you to, there are examples of teams going straight down to League 1.

>VARDY

What does it mean?

It's a local car dealership

it feels like 10th place and down in the Premier League gets worse every single year

not the only liecester connection in that picture
>danny "always stand off from the winger and never tackle him" simpson has a premier league winners medal

doubt it

this might be the last great
>moyes
thread on Sup Forums

>Brooks was here

Who would buy it? 150m in debt and lower league football incoming. I think Roy likes the Ireland job too much. Besides, you never go back to where you were sacked.

Is >Moyes that bad of a manager or was it the club management and lack of funds for any good premier league level players?

Both. He bought ex-Utd and Everton players.
His philosophy was hoof it to Defoe.
The club itself is run by retards.

...

Brighton currently losing, so Newcastle win the next game and Brighton don't win, the league is Newcastle's

Also
>Championship title mattering when there's no extra prize money and you both get promoted anyway

Hahahaha. Get fucked, get absolutely fucked. That'll teach you for doing the poznan, you cunts.

>Moyes went from managing United to midtable mediocrity to managing a spanish club to irrelevancy followed by managing Sunderland to the championship.

Has there ever been a harder fall to irrelevancy than >Moyes

At least they're honest. Pursuit means they haven't got it.

>WE DEM MOYES BOYS

>moyes

>canny
>mate
>hell-on
>fat geordie fuck

Where you from Marra?
Pallion reporting

...

And his daughter got blacked in the process, >Moyes should just end his life.

for match going fans the championship is better

for bandwagoners the premiership is better

...

>non-league damage control

not him but durham here

>for match going fans the championship is better

Wednesday charged Newcastle a higher price for an away game than they'd be paying in the Prem at like ~£50

>Subhumanland stays down in championship mediocrity like Ashit Villel
>FulGOD comes back to the prem from the playoffs and buys some American players to become a mainstay again.
Tell me you dont want this.

Nice cathedral, mate

Agent Moyes

sad!

I miss Fulham desu, that Europa League run was amazing

cheers marra

>mfw people somehow didn't see this coming since the end of last season
>mfw even as far back as the 08/09 season Sunderland have had suspect decisions go their way that have kept them in the league by a single point
>mfw they never escaped relegation by more than 4 points
>mfw they've relied on 6 points from Newcastle every season
>mfw they've relied on beating Newcastle to "kickstart their season" for the last 8 years

Does anyone here even watch football?

>Craven cottage

>>mfw they've relied on 6 points from Newcastle every season
Here man yi little fucken doylem

i think most people realised that this season was going to be extremely difficult for sunderland

Sunderland fans we forgot when they cheered for City back in 2014. Shame you losers, couldn't have happened to a nicer bunch!

Yes, but >Moyes was the catalyst that finally condemned them.
