MOOG (of Mighty Car Mods fame)
Ki:Theory
Scandroid
Trevor Something
Hamilton
Darren Styles
Netsky
The Who
DONBOR
Hideki Naganuma

How so my friend
The Mars Volta
The Beach Boys
Never heard of them elaborate
todays prog, pretty cool rhythms but dissonant and meaningless guitar parts imo. just my opinion
my man!
Like beefheart or less so?
no beefheart is fuckery mars volta is just energy packed tremolo guitar parts but theyre pretty random and obviously dissonant. They sing in spanish i think and use south american clave.
heres a song everyone likes by them basically, notice how they fit the guitar lead bit into the drums really cool. its cool groovy stuff youtube.com
I likeit mate I'll listen to some more tomorrow
Bohren & Der Club of Gore: Sunset Mission
Shameless self bumperino

...
Me me likey a lot
Fitter, happier
More productive
Comfortable
Not drinking too much
Regular exercise at the gym, three days a week
Getting on better with your associate employee contemporaries
At ease
Eating well, no more microwave dinners and saturated fats
A patient, better driver
A safer car, baby smiling in back seat
Sleeping well, no bad dreams
No paranoia
Careful to all animals, never washing spiders down the plughole
Keep in contact with old friends, enjoy a drink now and then
Will frequently check credit at moral bank, hole in wall
Favours for favours, fond but not in love
Charity standing orders on sundays, ring-road supermarket
No killing moths or putting boiling water on the ants
Car wash, also on sundays
No longer afraid of the dark or midday shadows, nothing so ridiculously teenage and desperate
Nothing so childish
At a better pace, slower and more calculated
No chance of escape
Now self-employed
Concerned, but powerless
An empowered and informed member of societ, pragmatism not idealism
Will not cry in public
Less chance of illness
Tires that grip in the wet, shot of baby strapped in backseat
A good memory
Still cries at a good film
Still kisses with saliva
No longer empty and frantic
Like a cat
Tied to a stick
That's driven into
Frozen winter shit, the ability to laugh at weakness
Calm, fitter, healthier and more productive
A pig in a cage on antibiotics
I don't like these feels

Musician here...ironically, not a snob. One thing I've learned is that there's so much to learn. So many cool bands, genres, and approaches. Classical/traditional world music aside, because that's another animal entirely--but the way of modern electric music is insane. I've been blown away by everything from Noisecore/Grindcore to Ambient, and all things in-between. Afrobeat, Prog Rock, Fusion, Funk, and on and on.
If you give yourself an open ear, even shit you once hated gets a better reception after further review. Smooth jazz was that for me; but now, somehow I crave the corniest. I love it for being straight up corny, kind of like Samurai Cop. I also love John Cage for silence being sound, and I also love Mahavishnu Orchestra because they ripped it the fuck up.
Or let's just fuckin' boogie, man:
