great drums but the synths are a bit too sporadic imho, although that's definitely what you were going for it just feels like a bit much. Other industrial stuff tends to have a more concise melodic progression intertwined with the in-your-face insanity.
New song out in a couple days but I'm going to put it on spotifty because I'm sick of soundcloud fucking my efforts in sound design with their shitty low bitrate mp3 playback

oliverbagshaw.bandcamp.com/album/weeping-willows > new album, it's free, my dudes > mix of downtempo, ambient, glitch, hard-hitting beats and crunchy breaks that might cause tinnitus > FFO: Brian Eno, Ben Frost, Death Grips, Haxan Cloak, Clipping, Venetian Snares, etc
Might be a while before I can put out another album but I'm hoping to make something more ambient-focused, more melody-focused with tinges of glitch in there. Wish I could make music as good as Solar Fields or BT. Any feedback is appreciated, thank you for listening!
m8 if youre going to do lofi (which you shouldnt your stuff would sound a lot better with proper mixing) then you have to make the whole song lofi not just your guitar track.
Jonathan Carter
thanks for the feedback my man : ) i don't think that the guitar track is the most lo-fi thing about the song. the drums are or the keyboard at the end. the mixing is very intentional but i understand that not everyone would like it that way.

soundcloud.com/mulfactor/elpaso4 > lofi jazzy beat > homemade melody samples > not anime though I'm quite proud of how this one turned up :)
rec, the track is awesome, and the glitchy parts work so well
Debut album, Icelandic post-punk >punk >post-punk >experimental punk
I like this, could use a little more production but i get the lofi sound. Really like the production sound in this, also pretty catchy vocals Really good song but a little to lofi for me, not enough space between the instruments in the mix.
Charles Bell
I get what you're going for but the song ultimately doesnt give off a lofi vibe in a cool way it does it in a messy way. I'm not trying to be mean but when listening to the track the drums and such don't sound lofi they sound barely audible and poorly mixed.
If I were you I'd balance my levels a bit more, make the bass more pronounced, do some gentle eqing to create a space in the mix for both your vocals and guitar (it sounds like theyre both in a pretty identical frequency range, which when drowned in reverb i.e. mvb can sound cool but when the sounds are mostly dry it just sounds cluttered and harsh), and add some sonic manipulation throughout the track but particularly on the lead guitar, perhaps a phaser or flanger after the reverb to get a groove going while making it more texturally interesting and staying in a shoegazey theme. All just my 2 cents.
I'm btw
Jacob Evans
Also i should note that regarding the drums when i say barely audible that didn't include the hats which were way too loud compared to the rest of the kit.

hey this is some really good feedback thanks my man. yeah i've been working with dry guitars for ages so i'm still getting the hang of how to eq with reverb and distortion at the same time. my kit is just fucked. eqd the shit out of it and the mic is p much next to the snare but yeah it barely gets picked up. gonna replace my cymbals which should fix it, they are bad qual and clanky asf.
this is the usual stuff that i make. wall of sound type stuff which is probably why the mix sounds a bit cluttered at times when i work with reverb.
if your kit sounds fucked and you cant record it well just use samples.
eqing is a tricky thing, everyone starts off barely using it and then they use too much of it. the key to a good mix is not how next lvl 8d chess your eq setup is, to get a good mix your main focus should be on sound design and note placement. put everything compositionally in their own place and then you wont have to fuck the lovely timbre of whatever sounds you got going with an eq. im very gentle with my eqing and generally only cut out the lows on most instruments (so my bass isn't muddy) and do slight tweaks that don't really impact the sound too much but provide a bit more space that an instrument may need.
also a good way to do reverb if you plan to use a lot of it is to use a return track (or ableton's eq has a similar feature built in) and isolate certain frequencies for that instruments reverb. so the instrument itself still has a nice timbre but its reverb is noticable and not hogging the mix. but if you want to go full shoegaze just crank it desu.
I think this track could really use percussion, something scratchy and maybe even complex if that makes any sense.
catchy

geesehoward.bandcamp.com/releases >bedroom pop, post-punk, neo-psych, electronic, big mix of stuff like yo la tengo really hoping people like it :)
comes off to me like a cross between shantae and an NES capcom game, I like it! I've been thinking of making some samples in something like this myself hey, cool stuff! feels like it would work well with a house beat as well subtle and bleak

>LITERALLY ONE OF THE GREATEST NOISE ALBUMS OF ALL TIME >NO EQUAL >A DRUMM-WORTHY MASTERPIECE
I am into a lot of noise crap, but this is just random noises with no development or ambience at all.
Latest track I did, a mix of ambient and noise. Think of an ambience made with guitars and pianos that drowns my lo-fi screamed spanish vocals.
FEEDBACK TO PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY GIVE FEEDBACK
Great production on You. I really dig how well the analog instruments mix up with the electronic drums, they sound very natural. Can't say much about the rest, as it's not my cup of tea though. I found a tape is a good track, although I could see it being more distorted and noisy, like an old fucked up cassette sounds.
Gave Dreams a listen and it's fucking good, man, the pitch bends kill me. Amazing production, great beat repeat and filters, I honestly have no much to say here, but, why do you don't have a Bandcamp? This could get a lot of sales and attention in there.
The groove in Prog í A is really nice, love the mixing and the instruments. Can't say I like much the vocals, to be honest, maybe they could use more energy, they feel like you're not too confident with your voice. I'm thinking a deliver like the one in Brutalism from IDLES would work nice. Also, the guitar strum in 2:16 is sweet as fuck. Cool sketches too.
Chuck a like or follow if you dig and I will check you out!
MY FEEDBACK:
HEY i fuck with this hahaha. Nice production really well mixed. That bass is huge. Reminds me of ybn nahmir yung gravy all those guys. Ill hit you up on SC
high end lowkey kills my ears. I dig the vocals but you just cant hear them over the cymbals. Some lowpassing and general eq would be nice on this track, i assume the whole thing was recorded live which explains strange levels?
shits hard af. Im jealous of you getting to do video work for it shit willl be fun. What sort of stuff do you do in terms of video?
Wow ima have to sample some of your stuff, v smooth
Feel like I'm about to die but I'll be in here, thanks so much to any listeners. I do return feedback on soundcloud and will be chilling in the thread checking stuff out
>youtube.com/watch?v=UC-CoZ5Ottk You've got some really interesting sounds hidden by your kick, and the repetitive intro. Try something less boomy for the kick - and try and play your elements with a hint of subtlety,
