Hello /b

Hello /b

Since im kinda bored and alone today I`ll make this thread.

I am a doctor, cardiologist actly.
Since most likely you guys dont go to a doctor frequently, I will answer any serious question in this thread. Feel free to ask me anything clinical related.

Hello,
Some time ago (2years) one night after heavy drinking I awoke to my Heart racing like crazy. So much so I was hospitalized because I was in Afib... I looked up some stuff and all I found was holiday heart. I got an Echo 4 months later and they said my heart was a little inflamed and was larger than normal but I was fine. anyways should I go back to check again? its been 2 years and I dont/can't really drink liquor anymore if I do I get paranoid. any thoughts ?

I have a fast resting heart beat. I take vivance for my ADD and I know that's an amphetamine. Should I be concerned?

vyvanse and it is lisdexamphetamine. it is extended release. most people do not have any problems. if you are concerned then go route of non-stimulant treatments for ADD instead.

Ya 1st get your symbol right

>cardioLOGist

Hello user, I recommend you see a doctor at least each 6 or 10 months, you can drink normally if was just a inflamation at that time, dont need to get paranoid. But you better be checking regularly because of the hipothesis of developing a cardiomyopathy, or other heart related deseases. Cardiomyopathy does not have any symptoms or sign, and doest even need treatment, just some changes in your regimee and life exercices etc.

Be cool man, and drink safe.

you're too young to be on this website

OP here, if you dont have any heart related problems you dont need to be concerned
I used vyvanse myself for a long time an fast heart rate is a normal effect. No need to be concerned.

Sometimes when I stand up I just faint. Is this heart related?

What's the odds that a small ball lump n my thigh and one on the inside of my forearm like 2 inches away from my wrist that have been there for over 6 years and have not increased in size are just fatty tumors or something else not serious or caner?

OP here, most likely not, this lighthead feeling or faint when you stand up is a malfunction of the nervous system most of the times, you better be making a hemogram to see if you are not in need of any protein and mineral that might be causing this problem.

Probably a simple cyst. If the cyst did not increased size and dont hurt, you dont need to worry about. But if it grows or change format I recommend you be seeing a dermatologist.

Have cardiomyopathy and about twice a week get odd blood pressure readings along with chest pain at rest. Two recent readings...
237/153 72bpm
99/66 44bpm
Anything to worry about?

Followup, I'm 24 now. Since I already have 2 in different places am i set to have more over my life?

I know a friend who's dad has like 12 of them, and over his life he's had 4 or 5 removed 2 to check for cancer the others just cause they formed near a muscle or joint and caused him discomfort.

Is that my future, or is one or two kind of normal.

OP here.

Just a little, this heart rating is most likely due to lack of exercise or not healthy habits.
Try running 1km everyday and keep track of the heart ratings everyday.

About the chest pain it may be caused because of a tachycardia. The exercise will help but you may need a anti-arrhythmic drug to keep it low.

Dude your an idiot, ever heard of vasovagal, or syncope, orthostatic hypotension? Nervous system, hahahahaha kys.

Hi OP. I spent a week in prague with a couple of friend, we were drinking a lot and on the 4th day of almost non stop drinking I had what felt like a 1-2 second heart attack where i just had immense chest pain and almost froze. This was 6 months ago, nothing similar has occurred. Should I still see someone or was it just some weird anomaly behavior?

sebaceous cysts are normal, being single or multiple, you should worry if any of them burst, inflame or increase more than 3cm, this may indicate a tumor or cancer.
But none of this happening no need to worry, in case you start to get any discomfort you can remove with a simple surgery.

How do they burst? Like on there own from just growing, or like impact if one was in my shoulder or something and I slam it hard?

Also, what's the danger in them bursting besides pain if it's not cancer? Isn't it like normal body fluids and stuff?

Let me fix that for you

Two weeks ago I did about 14 grams of blow in 28 hours. Some weird shit happened I thought was not possible: I had a blackout (was not drinking), regained my consciousness briefly during the blackout. Remember shaking uncontrollably, there was a blizzard happening in my area and I could literally fucking hear the wind talking to me (I know that's probably a symptom of psychosis from the blow itself), then I shook some more to the point I couldn't stand up and passed out. But the weirdest part is that I SLEPT for 3 days after that. Did I have an overdose and survive it? How is it possible to sleep for 3 days? I did not wake up at any point for those 3 days. Not even went to the bathroom. I passed out for 3 days.

This was because of the non stop drinking, it caused a high blood pressure, this happens when someone is close to a serious alcohol intoxication.

If you are ok now dont need to worry, but any recorrent symptom you should be seeing a doctor.

And is it normal to blackout from cocaine? I thought this was an alcohol thing. If that was indeed an overdose, how the fuck did I survive?

Med student here... How hard it really is to be acepted in cardio?

I take trazodone and sertraline.
Is it safe to take gaboxadol as well?
The trazodone doesn't help me sleep, I take melatonin and benadryl to get to sleep.

They may originate from occlusion of the pilosebaceous follicle, implantation of epidermal cells at deeper sites of the skin by trauma or from cells that are detached.

And if they burst they CAN (not implying that they will) cause a serious inflamation.

I can only fap once every 3 days and I don't get boners anymore, do I have ED?

OP Here,

Depends on where you live, to me it was kinda hard. 7/10 difficult.

I`m from bermigham

You probably had an OD. Good think you recovered all by yourself.

Its possible when you are on drugs.

Study habits please. Uni student here

Sorry this is not my expertise, only a psychiatrist or a very good pharmacist can tell if there are any interaction between these drugs on you.

That's what intrigued me though. Doesn't an overdose, specially a cocaine one, entails a heart attack? When I realized it was asleep for 3 days, I wondered if I was in a coma

Only by asking this question you I can tell you have a psychological ed. Stop thinking about it, and will get better.

>not my expertise
A do prescribed me.... you aren't an md.

Hello Dr.

What are your thoughts on anabolic steroids for recreational use?

what do you mean by that?

specialties exist. don't expect a cardiologist to know psychiatry in depth, because they are specializing in CARDIOLOGY

he blood pressure and heart rate can spike during an overdose, and cause a heart attack. If was the case you woudnt be here.

About the sleep was a coma, but for your sake you recovered from it. It could cause a intracranial bleeding and you could have died.

So are you a surgeon or do you just prescribe statins and tell people to exercise?

>md
That the ed is on your mind. Stop thiking about it.
Its only pathological when you cannot even masturbate without losing the boner.

I am a cardiologist, I have no specialties in antidepressants and anxiolytics. this is why there is not only one doctor for all types of pathology.

>o
OP here,

Surgeon.

This was me. not the above.

Should I go to the doctor to check if everything is okay as far as my brain is concerned or is 2 weeks long enough to be in the clear? Could this experience have caused me some form of brain damage?

****

Interesting. Thanks for the information OP.

On a totally different topic. Do bodies really empty their bowels and pee after they are dead? If they do, how long does it take?

>I can tell you have a psychological ed
>this is not my expertise, only a psychiatrist
Wow man you are all over the place.
Ed can be a sign of heart problems.
Also he might just be dehydrated.
Kind of a shitty doctor.
Where are you from?

I experienced dopaminergic excitotoxicity for a solid 6 months or so due to injecting meth all the time. 2 years clean off of it, how bad did i fuck my brain up?

I think you can do it with medical monitoring.
not all doctors are boring and will tell you not to do it.
they wont approve, but they most likely will help you dont kill yourself.

>Surgeon.
So you're an undergrad with mechanic skills.
What questions would we possibly have that you are qualified to answer?

You be OK do that worry

OP here.
Possibly, you need to do some exams to check if you are really ok.

The brain demage will most likely appear in the next years. (if you got one)

got any info on CERN/D-wave and the Mandela effect OP?

Hey other user here one time I shot up too much coke got super fucking shaky like you did and passed out. It hurt like hell and I couldn't talk or stand up. Ended up going home and sleeping all day. So yes it's very possible

I get a skipped heart beat at the beginning of inspiration after exertion, especially when I have drank caffeine. Is this anything to be concerned about?
Also I am a 1st year medical student trying to choose a specialty, do you enjoy what you do?

How often do you intentionally give people symptoms so they have to come back to the hospital and if you say zero, you're a fucking liar.

Okay. I will make a doctors appointment. Just one last question: Can brain damage be detected just by looking at a scan or does the doctor actually have to know what they are looking for do detect it. Since it can take some years, I'm not sure how to go about this in the future. Will the doctor be able to spot it with no problem if there is any?

OP here.

I dont, I`m a surgeon, I only operate when people really needs.

>bermigham
I think this might be a troll. Or a nigger.

Most common causes for ejection fraction of 40%?

I`m not certain but sounds like anxiety problems.

I like what I do, when I started graduation 15 years ago I wanted to be a neurosurgeon. But in the forth year you most likely going to change your mind, and do what you feel better doing.

Neither CERN talked about it in two of their videos...

A common CT scan can spot almost every brain demage, anything suspicious the doctor will go on further with other exams.

>237/153
Dentist here, nigga you dying.

everytime i use the train or long distance bus i get sensations like a "panic attack", why?

Beta chemcicals are laving your body causing mild withdrawlal as the chemicals leave your body manifisting in symptoms such as axienty and panick attacks. Keep pushing threw and see if you can't accelerate the dissolution of this and reap rewards.

OP here,
Ok guys, im out.

For the hate commends, you guys better be seeing a therapist.

And for the serious questions, hope I`ve been helpful.

Be healthy guys. See ya.

When I was younger my heart used to go from normal to racing with flip of a switch. After multiple EKGs I was able to get one (EKG) during one of these occurances. I was diagnosed with P.A.T. these went on for a number of years and at some point probably in middle school I quit having them.

A few years ago I'm now in my 50s I felt the onset of these occurrences coming on several times. Although it never developed into a full-blown occurrence I've been through enough of them to know that's what it was. My question is what's the worst possible scenario that could happen because of this condition? Is it something that could kill me later on in life?

Yep, most likely you will die when you get old. Go see you're doctor for more help

what is a beta chemical?

protiens that result in low functining and poor perforamnce. Bad diet and low exercise cause these chemicals to florish.

I got this problem with my jaw, not sure if I dislocated something, but I can snap it and make noises with it, it doesn't hurt unless I yawn and close my mouth quickly or if I sleep in it long enough it gets stuck for a bit, it's on the left side of my jaw and I'll periodically make noises like said above when I eat, if there's anything else you need to know I can tell you

so, a better diet and more exercise would make ir stop?

Dentist again, you likely have TMJ disk derangement with reduction. Go see someone about this, especially if your jaw is locking. The fake cardiologist wouldn't know about this anyway unless they were an oral surgeon in another life.

again
There are some appliances that can help, depending on what caused the TMD in the first place (some of them are fairly cheap to make, others aren't - it may be as simple as the free adjustment of a restoration that was placed on a second molar). This isn't something that you want to leave untreated.

most likely yes

Medical student here.
So, turns out even on /b dentists are dentists are envious of real doctors...

Go make your oral thread, maybe you get some attention.

Guy posted that he has a bp of 237/153 with chest pain and the "cardiologist" yawned and didn't ask any follow-up questions. I'd be driving my patient to the ER the moment I saw that. That isn't a doctor replying, that's an imposter. If an actual cardiologist had been giving actual answers to questions in the thread, then I might have asked a few of my own. That isn't what was happening.

Another guy asked a question directly related to TMJ issues. That's in my field, not the cardiologist's, just as psychiatry wasn't in his field and he demurred. Keep trying to stroke your ego, though, at least you'll have that in abundance for a little while longer.

>That isn't a doctor replying, that's an imposter.
No shit Sherlock.

You tend to see this sort of interdisciplinary animosity among undergrad brats and first or second year med students. By the time that you learn enough to understand just how much you don't actually know, then you come to respect what other specialties can do for your patients. Your ego is toxic, and projecting it on me is pathetic. Once you actually do earn the Dr. in front of your name you'll learn just how much others can help you. I have absolutely no problem with picking up a phone and calling a range of specialists whose opinions I trust and respect, including (and especially) MD's and DO's. I refer my patients to them, and they refer their patients to me. Some day you'll find that denigrating those in other fields is counterproductive to your actual goals.

Again, I don't believe the OP is an actual cardiologist based upon the answers that were provided. I may be wrong and he may be a shit cardiologist, or I may be wrong and the patient has a condition that is benign and unknown to me (this is unlikely, but possible) that the cardiologist can diagnose by reading a sentence. But I wasn't posting in here to derail the thread, the original post was a joke and it wasn't until later that I saw the OP's reply. Again, another user had a dentistry-related question and I answered it by recommending that he see a dentist (a TMJ specialist would probably be better, unless they've received specialized training the majority of dentists are clueless about TMD's).

>You're a dentist you're just jealous of doctors
>No shit that isn't a doctor
Choose one.

fake cardiologist detected

>>You're a dentist you're just jealous of doctors
>>No shit that isn't a doctor
>Choose one.
Nah dog, I'm not the ms guy having issues with dentists not being doctors.

I'm just a regular med student who likes to point out the obvious. I have nothing but against other doctors, in whatever field they practice.

See this? this is the envy the guy is talking about.
Look at your text dude, all the indignation inside you.

You talk about respect in other specialists but you came here talking shit about OP.
This is the good manners we see in every odontologist student or a "DR" dentist.

Be cool fam.

The OP isn't a specialist. The OP's answers weren't even close to being correct. I have nothing against specialists, I just pointed out the fucker was fake.

I also realized early on that you're trying to troll me, albeit poorly, and therefore I'm outties. TMJ guy didn't respond, there are no useful answers in the thread, so there's nothing here of interest to me. Hopefully the TMJ guy sees someone, because what he was reporting, if left untreated, can become debilitating and irreversible.
