NO DISASSEMBLE HAL900!! NO DISASSEMBLE HAL9000!!!

He realized he was the only good bit in an otherwise shit movie.

His voice was too spooky.

Hal, I have new instructions for you.

Watch 2010 space odyssey. It explains it.

If I remember correctly, HAL was instructed to keep the existence of the monolith a secret from the crew. But this became increasingly difficult to do, especially since he was programmed to always be honest (the instruction to keep the monolith a secret was done without HAL's designer knowing about it). HAL killed the crew partially because it was the only way to complete the mission without the crew learning things they shouldn't, but also just because he went crazy from having conflicting programming.

>his

I'm afraid I can't answer that user

Are you saying Hal doesn't have a gender?

Are you seriously asking this?
Christ your autistic

>your

small robo-peepee

The red eye.
Everybody should know that bad robots have glowing red eyes.
That is because eyes are light receptor, if you put a fucking light into them you can't see shit, and that can really piss off the robot to no end.

But it looks cool

What if you take a picture with a bad camera flash?

This baby is a terminator

That's one way of describing alimony...

He straight up tells Dave: the mission was too important to let people compromise it. Hal was the only one aboard who knew about the Monolith and waa told that it was if the utmost importance. To get there. He thought getting shut down would interfere with that order.
