And it's awful.

You mean promoting them or can your sensitive ears not handle those in any form
>pop punk (please die already)
Maybe I haven't kept up with this but hasn't pop punk been dead for nearly a good decade or so now? I agree that its an awful style of music, though. A total and utter bastardization of what punk is about.
>latino pop songs
I've always enjoyed rap while condemning homophobic rappers
but let's build a strawman together
Spotted the pard
Late 90's/00's pop punk was that, 80's pop punk and early 90's pop punk is fucking brilliant though,it was just punk but a bit more melodic and catchy. There are pop punk bands that have the punk attitude though and there are awful fast pop rock bands (which is probably what you think about when you say pop punk) which are a bastard child of power pop and actual pop punk
people that can't tell reggaeton has been the same song released over and over for the last 30 years.
It came back. Google pizzacore.
>tfw white girls agree with OP but would never say it
>"Artsy and forward thinking" rock bands that are just ripoffs of Joy Division/TVU/The Fall/Sonic Youth
I want a definition of hipster metal.
Artsy black/death metal with indie rock vocals
sounds like deafheaven is there a lot of other music like that?
Yes.
I hate all music
its fer conformisstss
DES
>'we're getting more political than we ever have on this album'
>'we've really stripped this one down, right to the core'
>'we've developed our sound greatly' (literally just adds a synth)
this is pretty broad man, i mean pop punk's not even that bad if you're looking at the revival shit like remo drive/whoever else u wanna bring up. the argument for a lot of this music is less "turn your brain off" (retarded) and more "enjoy it if you can"
there's nothing cancerous about this music, it's not subsuming other genres or artists in terms of popularity. the stuff that you're into i'm sure just rlly isn't capable of being popular and you've got to accept that the mainstream is always going to be garbage.
fucking arcade fire
Lol that synth thing is so true
>Tfw when you really like this if there's more than 2 people in a band doing it in unison
>when a song just fades out instead of having a proper conclusion
I hate the trap trend so damn much
Especially when artists who never used trap beats in their life start using them and their sound starts to suffer greatly because of it
Screeching Weasel is GOAT. Also, pop punk is pretty much a punk tradition, Buzzcocks, Ramones, Descendents, all probably fall into the pop punk spectrum. Pop punk after of the 2nd wave, which followed in the massive success of Enema of the State (speaking of, blink-182 ends up being a first wave 90'svpop punk band funnily enough), that was pretty shite.
What the fuck does nu-male mean
I don't know exactly how to articulate it, but bands/artists that sound like X Ambassadors. There's something that feels so put upon.
>EDM
I too, hate entire genres of music.
>"wokeness" by actual criminals
Having a criminal record means you can never have opinions after that?
>mumble rap
Never listened to it. Examples?
>nu-male indie rock
Rock has always had its share of more "feminine" men
>pop punk
The term "punk rock" comes from Sheena is a Punk Rocker, by the Ramones, who were poppy as fuck
>hardcore music appropriated by SJWs
Hardcore punk began with the radical left.
>synthwave
Is great.
>anything obesseive over the 80's, actually
Why? Just ignore it if you don't like it.
>EDM
It's meant to be listened to mostly at clubs and parties and shit. Get out of your parents' basement more and see if you like it in the right context.
>Tropical House
Haven't really listened to it.
>Just modern pop music in general
Pop meaning top-40 stuff specifically, or in general?
>pitchfork and its drones
People still care about Pitchfork?
>hipster metal
This sounds hilarious. Links?
Stupid or just silly? I think there's a difference here.
I mean, you can't help that you like it, but you should feel ashamed.
not sure if retarded or baiting
Trap is the worst thing to happen to Hip-Hop in years, when will this shitty subgenre start to lose traction with teenage normalfags that play this shit all the time at Stacy's pool party.
What's wrong with synthwave and 80s nostalgia?
This. It only makes me wonder what was after, even if it just broke up
>"millennial whoop"
...
>tfw rivers cuomo was ahead of his time
haha fuck code orange kids
or when the chorus is layered so it sounds like 1,000 people shouting
nothing, OP is just a hateful faggot with identity issues
Fuck the 80s revival. Synthpop and dream pop weren't even that great in the first place. Pop culture nostalgia in general pisses me off.
user pop culure mostly IS nostalgia always has been art theory fags know this
literally everything you named is good, you sound boring af lol
