*G&L custom shop

Ew

How do I get rid of mains hum on my bass? Opened it up and the electronics inside look absolutely shit-tier.

guitars are boring
electric guitars are worse

...then why are you here?

to inform you

true
PC is were it at

1 piece flame Maple necks look so nice

>anonymous person on the internet thinks guitars are boring

Okay, I have that down in my notes, under 'V' for 'Very Important Information'

>I've been """playing""" for two years.
>I don't even know what the fuck is a pentatonic scale

So, is it bad? Should I just give up?

Nevermind, just saw what it is. It's good to have a name for that thing.

As a bass player am I obligated to be the hype man/ dance around?

prs guitars are so pretty, too bad they sound like shit taking a shit

Can anyone give some no-nonsense advice on how to get started on transcribing?

>have been warming up for hours
>hands still ice-cold

ear training, theory and software that slows down the music without changing pitch

>software that slows down the music without changing pitch
just slow it down 2x and the difference is an octave

Rate my squier tele

every single person I know that plays PRS guitars is a gigantic douche.

Those pickups look like shit

Condor CLP2-S

>It's good to have a name for that thing
That's what basic theory knowledge is all about: putting a name on things so you can actually discuss music.

good instrument

My opinion is the opposite. I love the way PRS feels and sounds but I associate them with Creed and bands like that.

PRS doesnt sound like a real Les Paul

How do people have the same strings for months? Mine get corroded after a week.

they dont play every day

They:
Play less often than you
Sweat less than you
Don't care about rusty strings
Use longer-lasting strings

A real players fingertips are so hard they effectively clean the strings while playing

I need a pedalboard so my friend gave me an extra Ikea shelf to make one. The issue is that it's just the one shelf like a plank.

Should I cut it in half or just stick the pedals right on and call it a day? It's like 31 1/8" by 7 1/2". If I just put the pedals on and use it as one long board then I won't be able to put a power supply underneath or anything but if I cut it in half and use it that way then it looks like it'll basically be like a square which might be awkward to store/transport

Nobody really cares what you do so it doesn't matter.

I have a PRS and I'm only a small/medium-sized douche. Myth busted.

Lick the sweat off my balls I'm just tryna build a good pedalboard here

How do you go about time signatures? Do you count the beats in your head, or do you "feel" them? If so, how do you "feel" time signatures? I need to git gud on time signatures/playing on beat, so that I can finally become a certified proghead.

I want to start playing jazz, what are the essentials I need to know?

Hang around trendy negro men, smoke kools, learn melodic minor scale and get a black Gibson ES guitar

C'mon user

count them while listening and assimilate (get used) them

Idk you just 'know' it in the easier time signatures like 3/4, 4/4, 5/8, 6/8, 7/8.
Maybe try, when you aren't doing anything, counting them in your head and tapping with your finger and giving the 1st a little accent. Do this with thought for a while and you'll soon have them ingrained in your subconsciousness and you'll just know at which note the beat is on.

What should I know before trying out for school jazz band?

Thank you, lads! I have been listening to Haken lately, and their musicianship is just ridiculous. It just made me want to go deeper into prog, and get a 7 stringed guitar.

are you listening them through youtube or you downloaded their stuff

Youtube. I am currently planning on actually buying their releases, they are that good. I imagine they sound even GODLIER on higher sound qualities.

all of my patch cables on my board are failing at the same time. what the fuck /gg/?

just rushing through the "dookie" album and
wtf that mixing
on "chump" the vocals are scooped and sibilant

Whoa! are you a music producer?

yes

I want to get a new electric guitar /gg/. I play blues and rock and tons of stuff in between. I've been playing guitar for 16 years and the last electric I had was an Ibanez Artcore, it was cheap but I played the shit out of it. I do like Les pauls and SG's, what other viable options are there? I like G&L, any other off the radar guitars I should look at or should I stick to established brands?

Budget is anywhere between $1000-$2500, depends on the guitar.

if you can afford a good gibson then buy it

How about a Gibson or G&L.

You can always go to the lumber store and get some wood to order. I had a fence built recently and I noticed that basic wood is pretty cheap.

>reliccing a guitar
>2017
what are you retarded bruh.

I personally don't know why Les Pauls are so popular when SGs are an improvement in every respect.

Japanese LP clone
I got my esp Edwards Paul for $500

I love this beauty

i live in the desert, the humidity is crazy low here. my strings would last indefinitely, i've seen rusted strings like at the pawn shop but i have a guitar that i haven't changed the strings in probably 8 years and the strings are not even a little corroded.

>this crazy with that little relic
i want to see your reaction on my retarded trashed strat

I didn't relic anything
It's 15 years old

indeed guitarviols are the future

you CAN'T wear through poly paint on the top part like that you FUCKING retard

i wasnt that fucked up when i was that fucked up

>still has trouble singing and playing
joe satriani is a shit tier player

What's some good melodic guitar oriented music that I haven't heard before?

>$2500
thats a shitload of money get a fucking suhr

>future

im more interested in this one

this is not a guitarviol, this is a gimmick

Ebow is a gimmick, that is one weird old trick for fat walls of sound and killer sustain.

thats not a guitarviol by togaman

this is not a Ebow, this is a gimmick

so basically these threads never get good and its just a bunch of retarded kids hur durr posting right

yeah now its time for you to never comeback and stay at r/guitar

I like it.

yeah until I start dropping bombs

They were actually good previously. It seems to have happened in the last year.

They were shit when I dipped out two years ago. It's always been pretty bad, same 3 niggers posting their gucci garbage and like 4 good anons with anything constructive going on.

wow so you've been in this toilet for more than a year? why? what in the world is wrong with you?

Serious question here.

Learning to play the bass. Fretting on the first 5 is really, really hard for me. I have medium length hands and it's still hard as fuck.

I try to 1-finger-per-fret play a Major scale, with a metronome and my hand starts hurting in the first 10 minutes.

If I try to straighten the wrist and relax my hand, my fingers can no longer stretch to the 4 frets.

Need some insight here, please.

Stick your wrist out really far and adjust your thumb position.

I guess.

I left a while ago after getting everything I was going to get out of it. Only came back just now to ask about a cheap guitar with a hardtail and humbuckers that I can live with for around 250 dollars.

Post a lick that you favor.

clyp.it/idadt35e

if you have not incorporated your pinkey into your playing that would be the best advice i have for you. other than that just keep practicing, and build up your muscle strength/memory.

hehe

heard the squire bullet mustang is legitimately good.

gig 2nite

What is the objectively best power move to pull on stage, or in this case on sticky floor behind pool table?

unloading a semiautomatic gun equipped with a bumpstock into the crowd

hahaha

Is there some kind of law that anything that isn't total shit has to have a switch right under your fucking hand?

I've been on Sup Forums since 2008.

I haven't been in /gg/ since last year, though.

you realize how sad that shit is though right

All squier guitars are great quality for the price you pay
The electronics may be shitty but the construction is sound

False premise, alternatively, hypocrisy.

>everything that influences the sound is shitty
>frets don't cut your hand
One of these is cheap and easy to fix.
