Don't Breathe, The Maniac and Green Room are thrillers, and The Witch is drama. And Evil Dead+It Follows sucks. Horror is dead.
Josiah Rodriguez
>movie where a blind monster-man who wheezes grotesquely and has a weird voice chases a young girl through a dark house >not horror

How the fuck can people be scared of films made before the 00s? All the cheap cgi and bad effects makes me laugh instead of being afraid of it
Christian Flores
if you judge the merit of a horror film by how scary it is youre a fucking moron
Ryder Davis
Don't Breathe and Green Room aren't horror in the slightest though. They're thrillers.
Horror deals primarily with fear and terror, the objective being to terrorize or frighten the audience, though suspense does play an important role in the genre obviously.
The Witch is not a drama. I don't see how anyone would completely ignore its horror elements and claim it to be a straight drama. That's absurd.
John Reed
is pic related any good?
Wyatt Cook
>It Follows Shit taste, you have.
Gavin Russell
It was alright, not terrible but nothing special either.
Eli James
Watched it recently after Jay recommended it. It's not bad but there's nothing much to say. The movie felt like I was mostly watching a drama with the horror elements being left on the backside. The last few minutes we're nice but I think it could have gone a little bit more on the creepy tone instead of turning into gory murder. Would still recommend anyway. The girl was qt as fuck.
Chase Watson
>horror elements There were no horror elements in that movie. It failed at being scary, it's just drama/suspense at the very best
Blake Bennett
I agree that this is shit, but I will say that as far as shit goes it was pretty entertaining
Joshua Ortiz
Kill List is actually really good too
Christopher Lee
Don't Breathe is considered horror? Would've thought it was a thriller.
