I work overnights and when I don't set an alarm I wake up at 5-6 pm most nights. Thankfully I was able to register for classes that, at my earliest, start at 2pm and at the latest end at 8pm

mine is horrible. I need like 10+ hours of sleep to feel rested. I go to bed at like 5 am, wake up at 3pm and still feel tired. i dunno wtf is wrong with me, but I've always been like this.

if I'm not careful my sleep drifts so I go to bed like 2 hours later every night, and slowly my sleep schedule drifts around.

Sometimes I'm up for 24+ hours. Usually sleep for at least 10-12 hours. If I get the chance I don't like to be awake during normie hours (7-11am) and am up way way before or way after.

I haven't slept in like 2 days. I don't feel tired and csnt sleep. Plus I've got the flu.

did a sleep study once, I have mild sleep apnia, but when I looked at my stats, I'm getting plenty of oxygen / REM sleep / etc.

I have depression and take meds for it. mostly doctors just push the problem onto me.

Honestly it feels pretty hopeless. I went through most of my life just tired all the time. now that I work for myself, I can get the sleep i need, but it comes at the expense of having a normal schedule.

Pretty fucked.
It moves ahead somewhere between .5 and 2 hours per day, meaning my waking hours are steadily rolling around the clock.

Sleep during the day, awake at night generally. NEET so I can’t use working nights as an excuse.

Around 12am-8am on the four days I have off during the week.
And around 11pm-5am during the working days.

I've been meaning to knock my schedual back to around 10-5/6. But gaming during my days off with friends ends up keeping me up way later then I'd like. And getting back to a 10pm sleep time is a struggle.

My sleep pattern isn't fantastic but I'm a wagecuck so at least it's it's regular. I sleep about 5 hours per night on weekdays and then twice that on days off.

I have the same issue. I was told I have insomnia, as insomnia can apparently mean not only trouble falling asleep but also trouble waking up and feeling rested. It's 9am where I am now and I'm about to try and force myself to sleep for awhile because I've been up since like 7pm yesterday. It's a problem though. I've also always had really really vivid dreams my whole life but I don't know if it's related.

I've had problems like this for like 5 years now. Last year I remember waking up 2 or 3 times feeling well-rested.

And nothing seems to help. It doesn't matter if I go to bed early or late, if I've had a rough day or a day off, if I've been doing hard exercising or been in a pub, if I'm stressed or not, my quality of sleep is always lacking. I guess you kinda get adapted to it, but sometimes it really feels like it's taking it's toll on both my mental and physical health.

This shit is exactly my issue, down to the fucking time frame stated and sleep schedule drifting.

Haven't done any doctor shit or anything because I'm on the all-American if-you-get-sick-you-might-die healthcare plan and have no money, but I occasionally wake up gasping for air.

I feel like society has constantly pushed this notion that every human needs “1-sleep period” every day which simply isn’t the case. For most of recorded history; many humans have actually had two periods of sleep called biphractel sleep. Your brain releases sleep hormones every 3-4 hours of you sleeping so having one long sleep can screw you up. Seriously; try biphractel sleep where you sleep two periods of 4 hours for a few weeks and see if you feel better.

I can't get more or less than 6 to 7 hours of sleep every night. If I wake up early I feel jittery with a headache and if I wake up late I have an even worse headache but not jittery. I do miss my old job working overnights though I actually got better sleep.

Trust me man. It’ll take a week or two to get adjusted to it but sleep four hours before work then do the other 4 after you get home from work. You’ll feel LOADS better. Humans really weren’t meant for one giant sleep period but our culture has made it the norm. I don’t regret it changing it. You’ll also feel like you have more flexible time to yourself at night since it’ll allow you to stay up later without sleep debt.
