There are a lot of ways for standard PC running Windows. Yeah there's the standard volume controls, there volume controls in the player program, often more than one for instance there's the volume control in that but often there are other settings where you can change the level then there's EQ settings if in Winamp for instance. Really there's a whole a whole hell of a lot of ways to up the volume.
