The guy on the right blocks your path and says "do a handstand while crawling towards me or I will shoot you. What do?

The guy on the right blocks your path and says "do a handstand while crawling towards me or I will shoot you. What do?

Do cartwheels towards him.

Reminder that it was his superior officer that was yelling commands, he fired the shot.

Was he fired from the police as well?

Walk backwards towards him with my hands in the air.

Why were the jury not allowed to see the body cam footage? Isn't that what its there for?

From the very beginning, Sgt. Langley escalated tensions beyond a reasonable level. His commands were confusing and he created a stressful environment that compounded the difficulty of following said commands. MISTAKE #2. He can repeatedly be heard belittling Shaver's intelligence, telling him to "Shut the fuck up!" and telling him that he was "Going to fucking kill [him]!" When Shaver was told to cross his legs, he crossed his right leg over his left leg, prompting another outburst from Sgt. Langley, "Left leg over your RIGHT leg!" It was this stress that lead Shaver to fail Sgt. Langley's game of life-and-death hokey-pokey, costing him his life.

While Sgt. Langley may not be responsible for the tone of his voice, he can certainly be said to be responsible for his confusing commands. Lana Sweet complied with Sgt. Langley's commands but Shaver, who was at this point sobbing (after being told he was going to die multiple times), was not out of the woods yet. First he was ordered to cross his fingers behind his head, then he was ordered to put his hands in the air, then he was ordered to crawl (while kneeling). He had not seen how his girlfriend "crawled" and thus did not know he was supposed to inch forward on his knees instead of on his hands and knees. Sgt. Shaver let him slide for this, until he went to pull his pants up, which is when Philip Brailsford opened fire on Shaver, shooting him 5 times center-mass with his AR-15.

Had Sgt. Langley not breached procedure by making Shaver play SAW-Twister, he might still be alive. And that's the most egregious mistake of all. Cuffing him when he had his hands behind his head would have ended the situation almost immediately, provided Brailsford and others covered room #502. As for room #502, after the officers callously murdered Shaver, they attempted to breach room #501. Mistake #4. The funniest mistake, if it wasn't so poetically tragic.

cool
A very accurate, analytical and logical summary.

But Beavis and Buthead are still fine with their whole lives ahead and no repercussions (no known ones) to be had.
While Shaver - a father of 2 is now worm food.

The sad truth in all this is - cops are human. Humans make mistakes. If every cop who fucked up (or intentionally) shot an innocent person was strung up and dragged over the coals...
Then noone would want to be a cop.

>Then noone would want to be a cop.

just not a shitty one, I guess

Risk to your life - to - salary ratio just aint worth it.

Only perk you really got going for that line of work is the authority you get (which is what 90% of to non out of service psychos that apply are really after) and the invulnerability / ability to kill whoever you want and get away with it.

I will reach for my pockets. You will attempt to shoot me. Bullets will stop in mid air. "H-how is t-that..." Hmph... I say, my hands still in my pockets. I teleport behind you. Nothing personel, kid...

plenty of people would still want to be cops, not all cops kill innocent people

> cops make mistakes
Hmmm, maybe you should shoot someone one time in the leg instead of 5 times in the head ... And why does germany for example just have 1,6% of police killings of US (5 vs 1200) per head.

He's doing his Job.... Whats wrong With you? He's right and.. He isn't guilty. Thats it

>telling him to "Shut the fuck up!" and telling him that he was "Going to fucking kill [him]!"
To protect and to serve, ladies and gentlemen.

Or maybe the people who get into law enforcement because they are sociopathic power trippers will stay away from law enforcement because they know they'll actually be punished if they kill/harm someone without cause

Then Daniel starts sobbing more and is shitting himself trying to follow the commands in his drunken state.

>To protect and to serve
The law, not the people.

i make sure not to reach for my belt in a rapid movement. if I do i honestly deserve to die

...

In Germany / France that officer would do jail time and I can't understand a trial without all available evidences ... I've studied dual law degrees and U.S. case system is fucked up sometimes ... consumerism and protection of consumer goods is far superior in the U.S. though..

In a few years german and french cops will be like this because all the sandniggers you bought in. Cops in the U.S. are like this because of niggers.

Don't open the door. Ab-sail out the window.
