Same, it's been forever. Life is full of work and recording shitty demos is the only music thing I've done in about a year.
You need to work on your tone (me too) in SoulCall, but its a cool start. The main pad sounds like a hollow-ish preset.

your stuff is good but mixed too low

I am enjoying your approach to song-writing some of it is a bit too chaotic and abrasive but still charming non the less.

oo fugk I like limes! Who's that quiet wet sound in the chorus? Howl needs more, i think; if you want to keep it sparse i think you should try changing it up a bit in the last half.
didn't care for it at first, but i feel like this more of a passive listening thing. and i lied i really like desert shifter 1 & 3 holy damn. I'd say all of the songs would benefit from being as sporadic as ds1. It's constantly evolving, but not too heavy.
I can't condone only using guitar for your finished album, please add more. I suppose using just a guitar isn't a bad thing but maybe master it in an interesting way. Is Track Meet autobiographical? the fuck did you do? anyway to be blunt, dont waste those lyrics on those instrumentals.
im very happy about the instrumental shift after the chorus, but the fist half could use little moments of clarity/no bass/all bass. lyrics were good. i cant critique lyrically content for shit sorry
Still love it
Too much, i can't say anything about this right now.
I couldn't differentiate this between 100,000 other ambient songs, but production quality is good. and actually Fizione is really nice.
It's well done, but a lot of the tracks are forgettable; too long without any serious progression. not bad though.
pertaining to disleisure. Reverb sitting right on top of everything is really boring, but the actually ideas in the ep are good. There's more interesting ways to achieve a dreamy/ethereal quality. I'm not even saying that a bunch of reverb is bad, just a bunch of stagnant reverb on everything.

Thanks for the kind words/review.

Your stuff is real ethereal and sweet. Definitely the prettiest gangsta rap i've ever heard.

i think bitcrushing without modulation is cheesy and i dont think that's what you were going for on reptile bay. I imagine youre going to work on that mastering, right? you have to. could do without the gating/pulsing automation on First Day Fired. please flesh out Scarlet Rain.

Question for those of you who are a lot farther along than most here.
So after a month since I emailed them my band's demos i got a response back from a record label who thought we had a cool sound but didn't want to sign us since we're really new. However they asked for when my next show is so is it safe to say that this is a better response then most people get or is this typical?

> you gave me a nice comment in the last thread so here's me reciprocating that. I have a record store near me that specializes in industrial techno stuff, and this would fit in perfectly. I love the use of noise as just another layer to your beats. It never consumes the song, it just adds more atmosphere to it. I fucking love the slow wooziness of Incision and how it goes straight into that breakbeat thing. Production is also clean as fuck! downloaded

Nice to see you again, brill new songs again dude! Your vocals sound killer on these tracks x
I can't talk but I wish there where more dynamics in this. The ideas are there just needs a better execution of them. Also evening from the south west x
Why not dude, this sounds fresh. Can be something good x
Nice big sounds. Wish there was more bass on this though, good vocals btw xx
Br00tal guitars sound meaty af. Is the bass midi as well? The midi drums sound weirdly good ha x

Thanks man. My recording set up is shit (iRig HD and GarageBand). By dynamics, what exactly do you mean?

me
Sounds slimy, but in a good way; especially with those bass synths.
I like how much the music changes, but stays with a consistent theme. Your rhythms are also pretty tight.
Nice beats! The lyrics are quite entertaining too; reminds me of early Beck.

which label? labels never go through demos anymore looking for bands to sign. on another note, I did send a record of mine to an indie label in Portland one time and the founder of the label e-mailed back praising the record. That was all though, don't know if that's good.
