>that paragraph
wow what a faggot

Okay I knew Euro wasn't much more than an angsty teenager but holy shit.

What's the first thing you are going to listen to when /nbbmn/ starts?

Do you have a notepad or chart of all the albums you want to listen to this November?

Kek euronymous was ridiculous, if he was still alive today he'd be cringing at this shit.

since i'm spending the winter in Quebec, this.

In the Nightside Eclipse > Anthems to the Welkins at Dusk

Always start of with De Mysteriis or indeed Darkthrone

>De Mysteriis
shit vocals

what is the trvest kvlt album and why is it The Return by Bathory?

>shit vocals
Atillas vocals are one of the best things about the album.

Do you think Dead or Maniac would have done a better job than Attila? I love Attila's vocals on DMDS, they're very unique and powerful, fitting the album well. But I can understand why some people wouldn't.

t. nu-male tourists

The trvest kvlt album is a demo you write yourself and recorded poorly, and then never showed anyone, making it the most underground and kvlt black metal release.

After that, it's probably something from Paysage d'Hiver.

choke on euronymous' severed microcock, faggot

>being this mad that someone made fun of your favourite commie edgelord.

Deicide and sepulture are true though

or were, at that time

>nbbmn
Top hah, faggots. I do nbbmy(ear), every year.

ca.ign.com/articles/2009/01/07/10-great-black-metal-albums?page=1

Congratulations.

whom art thou quoting?

wow, you must be this "Trve Kvlt" guy i keep hearing about

FUCK BERGTATT
NATTENS MADRIGAL IS THE BEST ULVER ALBUM

only decent posts itt so far

Finally this is almost relevant again

I made an updated essentials list.

You can thank me later.

I can agree with this. Most if not all those albums are great.

honestly good selections all around but wtf is 3 inches of blood doing mixed in there? lol.

>Picks a Leviathan album
>Picks fucking Verräter
Dude I love Leviathan, and I applaud you for at least not picking the numale choice, but why Verräter? Tenth Sub Level, Massive Conspiracy, or even Tentacles would have been a much better pick.

Yesterday it took like 30 posts before anyone noticed on the old chart because they were too busy arguing about Satanic Warmaster. I leave them on for shits and gigs.

Is this the best thing the US has ever produced?
youtube.com/watch?v=mnjH-ZYe59c&t=13s

Close.

I thought Tentacles of the Whorrer, but then I considered for an essentials chart to go with good compilations from bands if they had one, and Verrater packed a lot of good material for Leviathan like Anthology did for Burzum and Valfar ein Vinder did for Windir. An as for Scar Scighted le nu-male album, I love it personally, but I realized it isn't the album that captures Leviathan as a whole.

I'm not saying Scar Sighted is bad, but is is overrated compared to the rest of discography.

Yes, Judeobeast is a close second though

I can respect this opinion. It's a damn shame Wrest never released the other LOC albums he said that he record

Scar Sighted is pretty bad though. Everything from this decade released by Leviathan has been disappointing.

I can understand that, it was the hipster album pretty much because Noisey/Vice put out that documentary (which is pretty awesome compared to the Ghaal documentary 10 years ago) and all of a sudden hipsters wanted to buy the album because it was edgy and Deafhaven wasn't 'obscure' anymore.

>gaysage d'faggot
>not nu-male shit

k

And it didn't help that Fantano gave it like a 9/10.

Are you twelve years old?

Trve. . . . Not to mention the bandwagon of people who started listening to Sunn after he made the video about seeing them like he saw the girl from the Ring in a public bathroom, now Sunn is carried in Bestbuy. . .

>haha i love black metal but satanism and national socialist themes are cringy
>all my favourite bands are just tongue in cheek black metal

What are some of the best black metal compilations from various artists?

Valfar ein Vindir from Windir is a legendary one, or did you mean a large split from several artist?

All the atmospheric bm i can find. Non of the pussy shit.

>tfw I actually have a shitty solo bm project that's tape exclusive
>tfw real people actually seem to care, such as Edasi, the operator of murder on ponce, and some friends of vordb and the guy from grausamkeit
well looks like I've finally done it. I'm living the dream

utter shit. Not in the sense that every album on there is terrible (there are many okay ones) but it's just laughable to call these the essentials

I hate how often artwork gets reused in bm but I've done it myself so oh well

I only listen to black metal, dungeon synth, and noise anyway so it's not going to be that different from any other month for me. I think maybe I'll listen to all of Graveland's discography again to start

>noise
disgusting nu-male shit

this is what tourists think, yes

Only real men can cope with noise.

...

A non-numale on Sup Forums? Could it be?

>Winter and spellcraft black metal not being your favorite

Anyone make their own solo project black metal? If so, how do you do the drums?

im seeing wolves in the throne room tonight lads, what should i expect?

My shitty 4track only has to mic ports, so with two mics
I do the guitar first with a metronome

Just got tickets to see Watain in January - is their new album going to be amazing, or have they transitioned to neo-folk without telling anyone?

>noise
>nu male
Way to expose yourself you tourist

>Turn up to get splashed with pig's blood
>Get doused with chamomile tea instead
WELP

Hopefully I like it better than the wild hunt
Lawless Darkness seemed to have a very intense raw energy

I think they've been a bit out of sorts since Sworn to the Dark, though I did quite like Lawless Darkness. Pretty curious to see what they do next, but I'm guessing it's either going to be wild hunt++ or a return to a Sworn to the Dark sort of vibe.

Do you know some good experimental or weird kind of pop musicians? Like songs with pop structures or melodies or catchiness but with a more creative approach.

Enslaved are kind of pop

Forteresse isn't bad but I've had a hard time getting into them

Akitsa clicked right away, those guys have serious riffs

They were in In Times, but E wasn't as bad.

Honestly Carach Angaren, Where the Corpses Sink Forever was a sick as fuck album, but it felt like what you described in the writing.

HEY BUDDY I THINK YOU GOT THE WRONG BOARD
IS TWO BLOCKS DOWN

shit production

the drums sound so plastic

the only issue i have with Forteresse is that they can get kinda repetitive at times, but they have a pretty solid sound so i dont really mind
i'll have to check out akitsa

> implying black metal was ever about production.

dude I'm tellin you, it's the self titled

the slop, the inexperience, the alcohol they spilled on the tape deck

it's all there

That's true, E was better. I have some normie friends coming to see them live in a month or two who are in for a surprise.

i think that if Dead had done the vocals it would be one of my favourite albums
but i really dont enjoy hearing attila's voice.

>shit production
So, black metal as fuck, you're saying

DSBM is pretty weak normally as far as I can tell

I'm sure there's good stuff and if you'll would gimme some recs that'd be tight

did you even listen to the album? or have you just never heard black metal before

ITT: Tourists

I saw them I think for the In Times tour because they were one of the first black metal bands I listened to 8 years ago and they played a lot of great shit half the time, even played a song from Hordanes Land at one point.

>comes into black metal thread
>contributes nothing to the discussion
>calls others tourists

Black Funeral, GBK, Havohej/Profanatica, and Weakling are the peak, I think with Black Funeral coming out on top.

The cool thing about Weakling is they manage to do the atmospheric thing without sacrificing any aggression, unlike all the bullshit woods metal bands they inspired. Good riffs, too.

Oh and Von are worth a metnion. Not the best but that album (is it just Satanic Blood?) is actually pretty tight.

ITT: That guy who wears his Vlad Tepes shirt to Rock America to judge people wearing AC/DC shirts and wish the chick wearing the Khols Led Zeppelin shirt will look at him when he checks out buying another AC/DC shirt

>88 posts
what's your favourite NSBM album brothers?

Anything by m8L8TH, I'd say PEste Noire or LA Grand Suicide by Baise ma Hache, but I don't consider them nsbm

noontide too, even if it's a meme i don't care

youtube.com/watch?v=ff60rsuVblc

Here's a real big one with Deathspell Omega, Stabat Mater, Musta Surma, Clandestine Blaze, Mgła, and Exordium

There's the one Fenriz did

Can't think of any other ones at the moment.

ayo, I got a tape about to come out. Pumped to have it done.

I have no interest in listening to noise on my own at home but I love noise shows. People freaking out on loud as shit homemade synths and stuff with like strobe lights and smoke? that's my kinda thing.

I do mine with my brother so I suppose it doesn't quite count. What I'm here to say is it's so worth finding a drummer. Drums are a bitch.

I sold one of my Demos to some middle aged family mom who got the $3 from her baby daddy, that's pretty fucking kvlt, right?

Why would I contribute to discussion about such shitty bands?

don't expect any excitement or riffs and you shouldn't be disappointed

akitsa doesn't go for the atmospheric thing so much, and they've got a cool RAC influence
