Is this the gayest movie ever?

Seriously, what the fuck happened? Not even being homophobic or anything, just genuinely curious. I've seen threads on /hm/ that are less gay than this fag fest.

>I've seen threads on /hm/

Stopped reading there.

>what the fuck happened?

Can't remember who but the director or scriptwriter turned out to be a closet homo in denial with himself so a lot of his projections about fighting his inner homo desires got shoved into the movie unknowingly.

The director is a gay. He turned into a gayfest. It's gay undercurrent was so strong it washed away the plot and just left they gayness.

I don't mind gays or Nightmare 2 but it's hyper, hyper gay no two ways about it.

>what the fuck happened
People involved (like Englund and I think the director or writer) claimed it was intentionally supposed to have a gay subtext. Although by the end it wasn't even subtext, it was just outright a gay film. Freddy was supposed to represent Jesse's fear of coming out and shit, which is why all of Freddy's antics come back to gay shit (killing the teacher, his friend who he totally wanted to fuck, showing up when Jesse trying to mack a girl, that kinda shit). No idea if that was always the intent or if it just ended up that way and they retroactively decided "nah we always intended to do that"

ainki wake up!

So you read pretty much the whole post.

Yeah, you see it in Never Sleep Again, the super long documentary on the series. The main actor was gay too. (also fun was the many stars that were turned down for the role for him, I think Brad Pitt was included in that cast of people)

Thanks user, I kinda wanna check out that documentary now.

>I've seen threads on /hm/

That explains a lot about the type of person who posts on Sup Forums

They were clearly trying to exploit homophobia.

I think 2's stupid as fuck but entertaining because of it. The gay shit really adds to the retarded nature of the whole thing.

According to "Never sleep again" (The goddamn 4 hour long documentary on the series)
It was a coincidence and most of the crew didn't realize it was gay until later on. The films queerness is pretty much just a byproduct of having an openly gay actor and a male horror protag. Even if Main character guy was a buff hetero dudebro all that girly screaming is gonna code him a little queer.

Got him good!

Was the scriptwriter gay as well? The editor? The producer? etc? How do you just not realize how gay everything is when the only thing that even could be gayer would be the setup to gay pornography?

It was basically a 80's coming of age flick pretending to be a Freddy Kruger movie. Literally "No John you are the demons" ending.

>when the fat dyke from Part 5 shows up with her girlfriend/sex slave and it just stares directly into the camera every time they're on screen

Good doc, though.

Only the lead and one of the set designers. Other than that it was 100% hetro run. Really makes you think don't it?

The gayest movie ever is Sebastiane (1976)

Nightmare 2's gayness is literally the least of its issues. It just feels....off. Like the whole movie feels like a dream or something. Not just as an Elm Street movie, but just in general it feels weird. To this day I can't describe what about it feels so off.

That's why it's the best though

Is it a gay porno? If it's not a gay porno I think you might be mistaken.

I didn't know this was a "gay" movie until after I read about it on the internet after watching it. I think it's people just reading too much into it, trying to make connections that aren't really there. He likes a girl for gosh sakes

It's like you're never sure if shit is /supposed/ to seem bizarre or if it's just unintentional. Like why does Jesse end up at a gay bar? Gay themes aside, literally why does a teenager end up at a gay bar? Why does his teacher bring him back to the school and make him shower? Was he gonna rape him? I'm seriously asking if that was the intent of that entire scene. The whole killer bird scene is weird too. It's one of those things where every time I see the movie I'm not sure if it's supposed to be a hokey scene or not. It's a weird movie because everything IS weird, and it's never obvious if that's intentional or not.

No, the implications are definitely there. Maybe you're just too straight to see them.

Oh come on, the guy acts gay and screams like a big queen, there are shirtless dudes in almost every scene, the coach wears a leather hat and checks out young guys in the shower.
It's totally gay.

> it's millennials try to convince you that something was gay episode
Definitely not my favorite

>It's an user is blind and deaf episode
How did you find this board? Or this thread for that matter?

It's okay to be gay but it's not okay to force your ideas on other people, go watch it like a normal person and not a pervert

>to force your ideas on other people
My ideas?! It's the movie that forced those ideas not me.

>it's not okay to force your ideas on other people

That's the entire point of art, sweetie pie

No, it really doesn't. You don't get that gay on accident. They're just trying to cover their asses as saying they intentionally used homosexuality as horror fodder, on purpose, to make viewers uncomfortable, would be pretty haram.

This isn't an argument user. Either you're trolling or you haven't seen the movie.

the guys in gay porn are typically straight.

>he never ran into his gym teacher at a hardcore underground gay leather bar

Fucking Americans and their sexual prudishness.

I'm not actually sure what's the gayest horror movie, this or Sleepaway Camp.

Either way, the unintentional homosexuality is hilarious. I remember watching this with some friends several years back. We had heard no one involved in the film realized just how gay it was until it was released. We lost our shit every 5 minutes.

Its kind of like Tobias Funke directed a NOES movie.

This film is kino

The coach's S&M death scene!!!

Can I get an example of how this movie is gay?

I don't plan on watching it.

Here comes the helicopter! Open wide! chrchrchrchrchrchr

I thought the girl was qt though.

WATCH IT NANCY

I actually really like this movie. Apart from the ending, I think its a pretty cool sequel. About the gay shit, I think it pretty much ties into the main theme pretty well.

Freddy is a dream killer, and the first movie is all about the subconscious. In this movie is pretty clear Jesse is gay but trying to fight his urges, so Freddy comes in and punishes him and shit. People say its "unintentional", or attribute it to the director and main actor being gay, but I think it was pretty fucking intentional

Lost Boys is pretty gay.

Pretty sure Sleepaway Camp is the gayest movie ever, but Nightmare 2 is a close second.

its gay? Examples?

HAvent seen it in years and years.

Yeah now that you mention it

They talk about fingering each others assholes on the bus. It's pretty obvious user.

The biggest problem is that Freddy leaves the dream world and starts scaring people at the pool party. That scene was so fucking retarded. The gay stuff was actually interesting (saying this as a bisexual).

You can post on the internet for 8 hours a day but you can't watch a 90min cino in the background?

>why does a gay horny teen go where gay horny people meet up

It's a mystery.

I never liked this one aside from the intro because instead of murdering people in their dreams, Freddy is walking around murdering people IRL. He's pretty oafish about it too, IIRC.

But the gay stuff makes it sound more interesting than I remember it being.

Is it as subtly gay as top gun though?

Try it again. It's better than most of the other sequels.

>It's okay to be gay

Enjoy hell fire sodomite.

>Joel Schumacher
of course it is

I always thought this movie was pretty weird, like it totally ignores what made NoES great. They needed Wes Craven to come back in the third installment to tell them again "this is how it's done".
Also, the other day while watching it, it hit me that this is basically a "werewolf" movie, literally change Freddy for a werewolf and it's a werewolf movie through and through, it even has the subtext that werewolf movies hage were the wolf represents something that the protag wants to supress, like the evil in man's heart in The Wolf Man or puberty in Ginger Snaps, only this time is the irresistible urge to suck cock.
