The Bond series in general

Fight Club.

Even Chuck Palahniuk said so.

The Mist

The Godfather

anyone else think about TMNT 1 when seeing this poster at a glance?

Fun fact:

The guy who wrote the godfather, mario puzo, i am his grandson.

>not his godchild

one job

The Shining

Under the Skin
The Shining
The Silence of the Lambs
Blue Is The Warmest Color

Pretty much every movie based on a Stephen King story.

can you back up that statement in any way?

>thinking the Watchmen film is better than the graphic novel

learn to read

>The stories and information posted here are artistic works of fiction and falsehood. Only a fool would take anything posted here as fact.

Outside of the green mile and shawshank his adaptations have been absolute trash

What went wrong

>The Mist
>The Shining
>Carrie
>Stand By Me
>1408

Oh shit. Can you tell us how The Godfather is gonna end?

thats a joke right? The book is far superior.

It would have to be the perfect horror novel because The Shining is the perfect horror film.

The Dark Knight Rises.

Yeah but so have his stories

It really isn't.

ja

your grandpa wrote a great book.

No Country For Old Men

Never Let Me Go film is ten times better than the book.

The film is still utter shit.

Don't read the book.

>adult picture books
Come on now.

its not scary

I'm not 10 or female, fictional films don't scare me anymore. Are you 10 and/or a female?

if something presented as horror doesn't scare you its not the perfect horror movie.

Fucking retard

Blade Runner

>horror movies are supposed to scare you

False premise

then whats the point?

im not a fan of the genre, i tend to avoid jump scare bullshit and buckets of fake blood. Could anyone recommend some good/intelligent "horror" films that actually have a point

Overall, the Watchmen movie isn't better than the comic but it's an admirable attempt. However, the ending is better. Having Dr Manhattan be the ultimate evil that unites the US and Soviets is a lot better than a random giant alien squid.

>then whats the point?

Same as any other movie, aesthetic pleasure.

>Could anyone recommend some good/intelligent "horror" films that actually have a point

I don't care about a film having a "point" but my favorites are:

Possession
Let The Right One In
The Shining
The Witch
Suspiria
Under the Skin
The Neon Demon

Blade Runner

fuck that movie was stupid.

>abloo abloo abloo oh no we're medical spares
>but we're humans
>never even attempt to escape or go on a homicidal rampage

frustrating
