Fucking Sam Raimi

This movie was terrible. So terrible in fact that it compelled me to make a thread about how awful it was. Anyone agree?

nope
you're terrible, it was good in fact it's one of the best horror movies in the past few years

It relied very heavily on jump scares. I remember people liking it at the time because it was campy

Sounds like it was a fucking riot.

Is it a horror comedy?

I like to support Alison Lohman when ever possible

It's a horror comedy you turkey

You're absolutely wrong. I'm a big fan of Raimi, but this movie sucked.

Interesting that it was neither scary nor funny. I guess it failed as a movie then?

I liked it and I'm not autistic enough to debate why you may or may not be a retard.

I enjoy what I enjoy and you do the same, have a good night/day.

But it was both those things to me? Interesting. It's like different people like different things or something.

Autistic enough to like terrible movies and to comment in a thread to which you say you have no interest in. Good job there, Autismo.

Hope all of you watching this caught that near the end they referenced Jaques Tourneur's night of the demon.

Not op but it's not scary and it's not funny.

Autistic enough to feed me that glorious (You).

Hey man it's your opinion.

I thought I was the only one who felt his away OP. This is actually my pick for worst movie experience of my entire life. I doubt it will ever be surpassed.

I knew from the very beginning with the Mexican story line that it wasn't going to be good, but the further along I watched I was in awe about how terrible it was. I like Raimi, but this shit sucked.

yes

I'd like to support Alison Lohman with my face IYKWIM

No. It fails at both.

That poster always seems to me like someone is taking her from behind, doggy-style

Plot and execution were fine but the CGI was absolutely unacceptable.

Come on, Sam. You're better than this, you lazy fuck. This looks like fucking Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

You must not watch very many movies.

I liked it because it was Raimi's comeback to horror, but it hasn't aged well at all.

Wasn't funny enough when it was supposed to be funny or scary enough when it was supposed to be scary. Not an awful film but not something I'd go out of my way to see again

Raimi hasn't been horror since Evil Dead 2 and 1 was legitimately creepy, 2013 was more gore porn but pretty fucking solid gore porn.

>WE'RE GONNA GET YOU

I hope they get Army of Darkness in Ash vs.

I actually really liked 2013. It was just the right amount of reused locations and themes while still feeling like there is a real chance that the movie could end with them dying. Plus there was no clear "survivor" at the beginning that you knew was safe

I remember seeing it in theaters with a girl I was seeing at the time. Didn't like then, still feel the same now.

>with a girl I was seeing at the time.
How is that part relevant?

...

When you're familiar with being around the opposite sex, they make their way into your stories. Maybe one day you'll find out what I mean.

I liked it
I also like A Simple Plan
how was The Gift?

What horror comedy is actually scary?

God, Rich, is that you? This is the reason I left your ass. Because you wouldn't know good taste if it was hitting you in the face.

what horror anything is actually scary?

I can't remember a single thing from The Gift except Katie Holmes's tits.

YOu're wROng

I hope not. That is, I hope I never learn to insert irrelevant details such as that in my stories. The answer to my question, of course, was that it was not relevant.

Creep? Nothing is actually scary to most adults.

>Niggers don't go to heaven
What did Raimi mean by this

I'm a big fan of Raimi although i couldn't stand this movie i had to turn it off after like 20 minutes. That OZ movie was pretty shit too

You might actually be scared by Scream.

terrible response

Terrible movie.

>it was good
sure

>in fact it's one of the best horror movies in the past few years
jesus christ no

>Remember the holocaust? Picture the opposite of that.

Nice Harold and Kumar reference.

I saw my middleschool crush kissing someone else during that movie, fuck drag me to hell

I got no amusemnt out of this movie. To me its almost on par with The Human Centipede in terms of pointless suffering.

People who like this crap are the same degenerates who like Snakes on the Plane.

I watched this in the cinema (a bong cinema no less were no one cheers or claps or does any of that other behaviour) EVERYONE was jumping laughing and wretching at all the right places. Best cinema experience i ever had.

Horror movies in general shouldnt rely on jump scares but it works for Sam cause thats what you know your gonna get and it was great. And yes it was camp as fuck

>he believes having an opinion is autistic
Ironic how your lack of comprehension of basic things makes you look either like a retard or an autist

b8 thread. This movie was loads of fun. You may not like it, but it's far from a terrible movie. It's exactly what it's supposed to be: campy and stupid. You're pretty new to cinema if this is the worst film you've ever seen.

>HELP ME! I CAN'T SPEND ETERNITY IN HELL WITH ALL THE FAGGOTS AND SLUTS WHO HAVE HAD ABORTIONS!

Raimi was an absolute madman.

I actually liked it, though I was watching it on a /x/ stream a few yrs ago with a load of other anons and we were all laughing hard about how retarded it was so that might have made it seem more enjoyable than had I watched it on DVD

>god I miss those /x/ streams. good times

Come on. It was way below par for Raimi. Had some fun moments but overall not a very good movie.

This just made me physically cringe. Damn.
