Well I go to gym so require a lot of protein so usually chicken curry with rice or some sort of bread product.
Spaghetti bolognese is also another favourite.
If it's for lunch a spicy omelette or scrambled eggs mixed with baked beans will do, both with bread.

I either make a chicken or steak Marsala with linguini and my scratch made pasta sauce or a maple glazed grilled salmon with jasmine rice and steamed veggies

Pan fried cheese sandwich
cut potatoes in half, coat with olive oil, oven for about 50 minutes. Scoop out the insides, combine with grated cheese, soured cream, salt + pepper, scallions. Spoon the mix back into the potato shells, back in the oven until they brown. Fantastic with beans.

Fried rice is usually a go-to for me.
I pre-cook a pretty large amount of rice, so it makes it easy to whip some up real quick.
Fry up some garlic, green onions, etc. on, like, medium-low heat
Add rice
Add some peas and carrots (frozen works good)
Add soy sauce and/or curry to taste, probably salt and pepper, too
Chuck an egg or two in there, scramble it with the spatula (you'll probably want to turn the heat up a touch to cook the egg faster)
Mix well
Not too tough, once you get the hang of it.
Did you use extra virgin olive oil? Please tell me you didn't.

Chicken stuff:
1c brown/wild rice
1c chicken stock (salted or unsalted, up2u homemade preferred since storebought just smells like farts)
1/2tsp ground thyme
1/2tsp fresh ground black pepper
1tbsp salted butter
1 whole yellow onion
1or2 cloves fresh garlic
chikken (thighs and drumsticks best for this)
DIRECTIONS:
>season chikken with thyme/pepper/whatever else you feel appropriate
>hell marinade if you want idc
>dice onion, saute lightly in buttered pan on med. heat
>add rice, chicken stock, water, garlic mix together
>place chicken symmetrically on top of rice
>cover and let simmer until chicken rice is fully cooked, chicken should be fully cooked by then as well.
>if you are not sure, temp it: 165f or above
>serve with saute'd/roasted broccoli
