And by that, I mean album as a whole. Not album with the 3 best singles.

im sorry tho shit on your parade user but dream theater is horrible

>Greatest band of all time
>Each of their albums could be considered a masterpiece in themselves (minus the debut one)
>Literally spawned an entire genre of music
>Insane amount of complexity in every song
>Average song length probably over 10 minutes
>Crazy Easter eggs in their music (see octavarium)
>Literally songs with a metadialog about how their music is difficult to write & too often compared to floyd
>Not always catchy after first listen... Must be trash

I apologize, forgot cover

...

I know its cliche but it's one of the few records that to this day sounds better every time I hear it. It's just so fucking timeless...

...

Still one of the best guitarists of all time.

Sabbath is good

Over hyped and overrated metal hipster music that contains a fraction of the depth and complexity is advertises. Might as well be tool music

The weekend will be forgotten about by the time the weekend is over. Honestly can't even remember a single song off this album and it was big not to long ago

also I like the sound of this
if I was in my vehicle with the system, I'd like it even more
Reminds me of this guy

Any of his albums are great stories

nigger detected.

>he doesnt like tool

I will admit I loved Lateralus when I listened to it wile tripping balls. But the problem is all of their music is just that song but worse. I have listened to all four albums at least 5 times each at this point

Kek, right?
>a band wins a grammy for a song about the lead singer's mother dying
>overrated

ya'll already know

Everything from Medal to Animals was perfect! And then Roger ruined everything with this album. Medal 8/10, Dark Side Of The Moon 10/10, Wish You Were Here 10/10, Animals 9/10, The Wall, 4/10

meddle*

Best dream theater album

10/10 - best album I've ever heard.

...

Dramatic turn of events is #2

i really enjoyed Rated R better, but that album is fucking good too.

classic's

I'll add another amazing album imo.
>Pic related

No doubt. Id put Octavarium at 3.

Yep, here it is, the Tool post. Right on schedule

One of the greatest produced albums of all time. Every song is a masterpiece.

yeah its a kickass album for sure.

fucking love that album, too. it's what inspired me to start learning guitar. i'm not one to hero worship but there's something about josh homme's tone and songwriting that's so exciting and captivating, in both QOTSA and Kyuss.

Rated R is fucking good. But SFTD has better contrast between light and dark and explores more themes. And the whole radio thing is cool. Supposed to be a drive from LA to the California desert

Already have it right here

i can agree with that user.

Max Richter, The Blue Notebooks

Alva Noto + Ryuichi Sakamoto, Vrioon

>Underworld, Beacoup Fish
Fuck Yeah!

I fucking hated this album

...

...

ok

this is an amazing album, did they ever follow up with anything close to this?

Other than the two live sets and some of the next album, Audio Video Disco, no.

Their recent releases would make you think they're trying to distance themselves from this kind of sound too. Sorry user.

Better than iconoclast

the Michael Jordan of drunk driving played his final game tonight.

Queens of the Stone Age is technically what genre?

I'm really not sure.

Some might disagree, but I find this album better than all others.

>That pic of Kim and Ray J.
Kek

I usually hear them described as "stoner rock".

...

>Quiet! Before Josh Homme kicks your face!
He calls it Desert Rock. But listen to Kyuss, and you couldn't be more right.

Totally

rage against the machine.
Signed to Sony, one of the biggest corporations in the world. Fags
