>all those fools who thought mercedes wasn't sandbagging to lull ferrari in to a false sense of security where you at now
Leo Cooper
Too late, I already saved it.
Brayden Wright
go ahead friendo
Anthony Ross
adding lots of new aero development ≠ sandbagging
Noah Butler
RBR still sandbagging with the RB14 I see

>Generally, tyres feel a bit hard - I don't know why. I think it's the myth of Barcelona where maybe Pirelli is a bit afraid.
based Seb telling the truth about Pirelli. Wonder if they'll get the mafia to make him shut up again like they did after Spa 2015
Owen Lopez
they were obviously holding it back
Ryder Nelson
this was-s jjust a dummy ccar r-right gguys?
the real rb14's coming tomorrow, right, right?
Joshua Gomez
Nice shortcut, amx.
Anthony Richardson
They should allow all tyre compounds and just put lap limits on the tyres. If they say Ultra softs can only do 5 laps and you get a puncture going 6 laps with them you get a grid penalty or something
Christopher Reed
I think Hard compound tyre for barcelona is retarded
Gabriel Myers
>I think Hard compound tyre is retarded

This was all a carefully crafted ruse by Mercedes, the aero developments were held back at the start of the season to give their competitiors a chance. Mercedes named the W08 because they always knew that the aero on the car would be 2008 magnitudes of ridiculous.
Robert Martin
How's the FP been?
Cameron Edwards
>W08 >W8 >wait
mind blown
Matthew Diaz
Malaysia is the only GP where Hard tyre makes sense.
But the Malay GP would be way more exciting without it, also Malay GP is gone next year so yeah we should just scrap the Hard tyre in general.
Nathaniel Green
...
Adrian Richardson
Surely Spa as well
Justin Anderson
Spa didn't have hard compound last year, race was one of the more exciting Spa's we'd had in a while.
Aaron Garcia
2008 cars are extremely simple compare to the shit we have now.
The difference is that 2008 cars were short and had a proportional body.
>Actually, one had expected a miracle car from Red Bull this year. But the miracle remained. Star designer Newey gets into explanation. The 58-year-old Englishman brings an interesting point in why the result did not meet the expectations: "I have been quite retiring for the last two years because of other projects, and I have only returned to certain areas for this car. Somehow there has been problems in communicating with my colleagues. We'll have to organize better. "
>The problems with the correlation between the wind tunnel and the race track leave Newey only as an excuse: "It is true that we were greeted by the numbers. But that's happened to some other teams. The wider tires produce different air swirls when thought. "
>One thing Newey admits. Ferrari has operated good lobbying at the FIA over the winter. The new interpretation of the chassis rules has hurt Red Bull. "It would be foolish not to admit it. However, the dismantling of the suspension does not explain all the problems. "
Evan Bell
Not right this second. Not sure when free practice 2 is yet didn't really look at the weekend schedule.
Owen Phillips
is he homeless now?
Landon Morales
Newey SEETHING
Ferrari though, so far, these new regs, everything is just coming off for them.
Matthew Walker
>"This car might be disappointing but we're excited about next year's high downforce regulations. Sebastian and Mark will be right at home."
Ethan Myers
He sleeps in Ron's autism box now, as with ROn gone it no longer serves its purpose.

I think that was clear for a while now. He came 2nd I his first year in th team, beating a Brawn. Webber never finished less than 2 (two) places behind him in the driver's championship. Also Toro Rosso: Rosso: wins before Vettel, n wins aft Vettel. Red Bull: no wins before Vettel, barely any wins after Vettel.
The situation is clear I think.
Connor Richardson
Was there any reasoning behind grooved tyres? I've always wondered as to why did they think they needed it.
Jordan Ross
>Also Toro Rosso: no wins before Vettel, no wins after Vettel. Fixed my typos, that's what I get for phoneposting.
Thomas Sanchez
so whats the consensus on formula e?
Benjamin Wilson
it was to slow the cars down because apparently the top-tier Motorsport shouldn't be too fast
Easton Martin
Toro Rosso (Old Minardi) launched a lot of great drivers but only Vettel made a pole and won a race under the rain with it Very few drivers did this in their career
Aaron Jackson
kino but slightly less kino than formula kino

The races have not been bad, desu. Even when things are as procedural as Sochi, the fight between Ferrari and Mercedes is still too close to call and it makes everything tense as fuck.
The only people who didn't enjoy that race were delusional"""""fans""""" on Reddit who think Massa held up Vettel and all the lapped cars literally evaporated in front of Valtteri.
>The fact that Mercedes is not as dominant as previous years make up for the procession in the midfield Nah m8
If Ferrari wasn't challenging Mercedes this year everyone would be up in arms about how boring F1 had become.

Speaking of that, no one has seen Ron Dennis since he got BTFO of McLaren.
Good.
Leo Perry
I'm still mad that Ron didn't team up with Jagonya Ayam! to save Manor
Brandon Williams
Imagine the fun
>Ron wants to beat McLaren with is new Manor team >Alonso keeps retiring his McHonda if he's not going to get points >Manor is ahead in the championship because of more 11th places >McLaren is pissed at Alonso, but he keeps doing it

>penultimate lap in Abu Dhabi >Alonso comfortably ahead of both Manors on track but Stoffel DNFed >he's 1.3s behind 10th place, has been closing by 5 tenths a lap >does the maths and realises he'll finish behind at that rate >gets a good run coming out of the chicane onto the second DRS straight >almost alongside him now >brakes 100m early and coasts the rest of the way to the pitlane in 2nd gear >having given up on a points finish, trundles down to his box for a pre-retirement tyre change >but his team aren't ready for him so he keeps going >puts the car in neutral because he's run out of fuel >big mistake >Alonso's car creeps over the crest of the downhill pit exit >gravity accelerates him quicker than his McHonda has done all season >crashes into the wall underneath the tunnel
Ultras should be the new Soft. The current mediums look like driving on glass and if it wasn't for the 1 pitstop rule we probably would have seen someone drive Sochi on ULTRASOFTS for the whole race.
The fact that they've gone from supersoft to ultrasoft and ultrasoft is so hard that you can run 20 laps in proper race conditions on it easy is fucking ridiculous. And then they don't even bring it to most races and then increase the tire pressures of the harder tires because they think they're gonna blow up.
Pirelli is so fucking annoying. Just make good tires please. Like Michelin t. Michelin lifelong (only tires I've ever bought were Michelin)
Elijah Garcia
he's still locked up

It's nothing new, Bob Fernley is the de facto team principal of Force India. Supposedly Mallya has already financially distanced himself from the team (I mean the dude is relatively clever with money overall, its just that he is slowly getting caught over it now), I doubt FI would even go bankrupt if Mallya was jailed. A rebrand is more or less inevitable and honestly a massively lucrative opportunity for literally anyone wanting to enter F1. Force India's title sponsor's owner (and part owner of Force India itself) and GM has been in jail for several years now and no one seems to care lol. They'll be fine in one way or another
