Is the LP60 really that bad? I can't afford the LP120 but I really want to get myself a record player so I can make use of my records.
Is the LP60 really that bad...
No, it's fine. I've had one for the last three years and have had no issues.
your real problem is you are using records and not CDs
I've had it for over 3-4 years as well. The needle is starting to fuck up I think but the rest is fine. I'll upgrade for a better one once I get my own place.
That's good to know, thanks. I'll probably go with the LP60 then.
My car's headunit doesn't have a CD player so I use my phone when driving, and when I'm at home on my computer I just use a streaming service. CDs just seem like a hassle for something that isn't "special" enough like records are.
without sounding like a hipster what do I do if all the music I listen to is too obscure to have records?
>"special" enough like records are
kys faggot
expand your tastes
so no cheap custom printing websites exist? I'm just shit outta luck?
There's probably some website out there, but they ain't cheap. Producing vinyl records is expensive.
ah that's a shame, I'll just stick to spotify
Get into cassettes or CDs.
>cassettes
I can get behind that, but it's a bit before my time (20) how do I make custom cassettes? sorry for needing so much spoonfeeding
>but I really want to get myself a record player so I can make use of my records.
So you've been collecting records all this time without the ability to play them?
Well, it's only 2 records so far. One of them is an original UK pressing of ITCOTCK that I found in Japan and just had to get because it's my favorite album of all time, and the other is DAMN. because it came with the t-shirt and a signed copy.
Order blank cassettes. Get an old stereo system that has a tape deck or tape recorder. Proceed to dub album onto cassette.
It's not terrible but I feel like records aren't really worth diving into unless you can spend a decent amount on a good setup. Buying new records to play on a lp60 is like buying dvds to watch on a ipod nano
I used to watch aXXo rips on my iPod Nano in high school
I don't see any reason why anyone should consider buying a brand new LP60 when the same amount of money will get you a proper vintage turntable that runs circles around that plasticky piece of junk
>Get an old stereo system that has a tape deck or tape recorder
No, buy an actual cassette deck. You know, something specifically engineered for a particular purpose instead of a cheap ass potato crammed into a sad all-in-one box
I mean, needles degrade over time. That's why they're replaceable.
Because some people live in shitholes where you can't find any decent vintage equipment anywhere.
...
Don't be mad if you can't afford a turntable. CDs are viable if you are a teenager or going through a tight budget. But most of us prefer listening to vinyls.
