The Warriors vidya game

Remember the game?

>shitty camera
>shitty controls
>shitty voice acting

Only dudes who wanna be a mom and breastfeed their future babies like this game. Fucking chaos.

What game is this? Looks awesome

This was literally a god tier game

Nothing "god tier" has ever come out of Japan

...

What about FF, Higurashi, Kingdom Hearts, Dragon Quest, Monster Hunter, Chrono Trigger?

>voice acting is ok,what makes it shit is the sound mixing
>the best 3d controls sonic has ever had(besides sa1)
>fun gameplay styles(yes,i like all 3 of them)
>interesting plot without cringy jokes
>10/10 soundtrack
>camera is still shit tho

that's my personal opinion at least

...

>dat soundtrack
>mfw got to the point where once i got everywhere unlocked i'd stop doing the missions and just use it to drive around listening to music and fucking with people like god intended

thanks for the nostalgia, OP. here's another good one

I didnt like most of those, and had no interest to play the others.

Japanese games have very off putting graphic design, unlikable audio, and most Japanese voice acting is worse than a college kids indie game.

The only Japanese game I ever remotely liked was Fatal Frame back in the day, and Im not 100% sure that was developed in Japan to begin with

zork

Well, to each his own.

I love Japanese video games as well as other video games.

...

this beats out anything you nerds will post

This.

I love how some game boards you mention you have no desire to get a PS4 and they sperg out and start listing all these "great exclusive games"... and I just look at the list like "yep, not interested in a single one of those."

GTA VC was very good. Definitely a must play along with
preferably before playing VC. I wouldn't call it god tier though except for
this. God tier Soundtrack easily

Vice City will always be at the top of the franchise. God I wish they would remake it for the next gen of consoles

Desperadoes? never played but heard it's good. Commandos style game if I am not mistaken

this makes Darks souls look like Overwatch

Probably the best of the series but I cant say any Fallout was amazing. I would put TES far above Fallout

Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy.

Seriously, one of the best stories I've ever played.

...

...

Out of the main ones since I never played the spinoffs or whatever you want to call them to any substantial extent...

1. Vice City
2. San Andreas
3. V
4. III
Power gap
100. IV

The top three could easily be 1a-1c with III being a close 2. It was a landmark in video games but its sequels went above and beyond the already high bar it set. IV, on the other hand, it just missed the mark in terms of tone. It felt like it was almost trying too hard to be gritty while the others were more along the lines of taking gratuitous violence and ramping it up to the point of being kinda funny.

all i need.

Best I played last year, I'd say.

...

This was a real gem

Manhunt was the best game growing up, parents were to stupid to understand it was violent

Still a great game today. If only For Honor had worked its servers out before the community died...:( Im still craving a good sword play game to this day because of Bushido Blade

this game is an absolute masterpiece.

Can’t beat it.

I never understood all the hate for IV. Shit came out in 2008 and obviously had its problems and limitations, but it was an instant classic for the franchise.

I know what you mean. I really liked 4. On the other hand I absolutely hated San Andreas which almost everyone said was better than 4

we all know its true

big title of play x

...

:( Dont tease me like that

I have fond memories playing GTA 2 on the ps1 as a child.
It's full of much more wacky and zaney stuff than the newer, more realistic ones.

...

For me it just lacked aesthetic, it felt dull and that detracted a great deal.

what a classic

/comfy/ af iuam

Overrated.

I mean, it was a great game, it just wasn't a great GTA game if that makes sense. It's a personal opinion thing, but as I said the tone just felt wrong. Like they went away from the earlier formula and tried to be grittier but went too far in that direction.

The best analog I can think of was when Casino Royale came out. It got good reviews and I like it, but it got a lot of shit for feeling more like a Bourne film than a Bond film.

It is m8. Spent most of my childhood on it.

If that actually happens, my body is ready.

If you're just fucking with us, I hate you with the fire of a thousand suns.

...

I still remember openinh the bowser stages after the ghost ship and losing my shit over it, 8 years old or something. Loved mario.

Like, do you even like videogames?

If it happens I am taking 2 weeks vacation from work, and living off of food delivery and beer until I either finish it 100% or run out of days

I do, just not Japanese games. I have yet to play a Japanese game I enjoyed. Not a single one. Yet I have over 1000 hours into skyrim, hundreds of hours in the GTA series, and multiple thousands of hours into the Total War series. Ive also been playing Hearts of Iron in one form or another for a decade at this point.

has been my favorite game of all time since i played it in 2011

idk user....i know hating on fallout 4 is/was a meme, but i liked the new mechanics in that game. nv had a more engaging story, maybe, but fallout 4 is still better imho.

TES is cool, but I find it uninspired. honestly, its just another sword and magic hack and slash. at least fallout gives you something a little more unique.

Decent gameplay, shit story, timeless animation, and unmatched soundtrack

I didnt detest FO4. The ability to build things was cool, but overall the game was dumbed down (weapons and armor never break down from use for example) and its story line was by far the weakest in the series.

I guess it comes down to feel. FO4 to me felt like an over the top Saturday night basic cable movie. Where as Skyrim made me feel like a Viking standing atop a snow covered mountain who will save his people and land with nothing more than strength and a war hammer... Something about Skyrim was so right where as something about FO4 was just so wrong

dub dubs don't lie

I like Skyrim, GTA and Victoria too, but you’re really missing out if you don’t give Bloodborne a shot. Even if you’ve played other Souls games, BB is fundamentally better in presentation, hands-off storytelling, gameplay... I’m not some anime RPG lover either, bit my man, take a weekend rent a ps4 and bb

good taste

Yeah

How has no one mentioned Elder Scrolls - Anything yet?

We have been talking about TES and Skyrim for half this thread
