Anthrax fucked up by having to change lead singers after the first fucking album. Even then, anthrax's was weak as fuck. If they debuted with Belladonna it'd be stronger.
Either Slayer's or Metallica's

Metallica by far.

>Dave Mustaine wrote two of the four albums
Just confirms Dave is the true thrash GOAT

Slayer had the best debut, but none of their later albums hold a candle to it.
Metallica's discography has the highest high points, but it also has the lowest lows.
Megadeth is by far the most consistent, but they're consistently average.
Fuck Anthrax.

Show No Mercy >>>>>>>> Fistful of Metal >>>> Kill 'Em All = KIMBABIG

agreed, except for the fact that I'd say Hell Awaits is their best album. Everything after can't hold a candle to that and the debut

Megadeth or Metallica. Kill 'Em All sounds better production / mastering wise but I like the soundwriting and aggression of KIMB better.

This, Metallica even used some of his riffs on RTL.

He's the thrash goat.

Coin flip between Metallica and Slayer. Then Megadeth. Anthrax dead last, they're only there because the big four is a sales game.

It was mostly Hetfield though.

Show No Mercy utterly destroys Kill 'Em All.

He definitely shaped a big part of that "punk meets metal/NWOBHM" sound that defined thrash metal. Him and Hanneman were the most important players in the sound that developed from that scene in my opinion.

Metallica in general is mostly Hetfield but it would be foolish not to say that Mustaines sound rubbed off on Hetfield big time.

I personally like Megadeth's s/t more than the rest of these three, and I think the Anthrax hate here is unwarranted. Fistful of Metal goes really hard.

>four hoursemen
btfo'd (mechanix is a better version)

If you watched the "Behind the music" for anthrax you'd know that without Anthrax, Metallica wouldnt even be a band. They're also only there because they were one of the first to pioneer the thrash metal genre but they actually made the genre fun, Among the Living is one of the best Thrash metal albums of all time. Too bad the rest of their discography is a clusterfuck of mediocre or bad

>the same song but with an interlude
Both are good

Oh sure, and there was a massive rivalry at that time and Mustaine never really forgave Metallica for "stealing" his sound.

Too bad their best songs are on this album

What's the best song by each of the bands? For me it's Master of Puppets, I'm The Law, Angel of Death (maybe South of Heaven) and Five Magics or Wake Up Dead.

I disagree with this for a few reasons, but I shouldn't downplay Mustaine's contribution to early Metallica (if it sounds like I was doing that).

Metallica easily, it's actually my favorite album of theirs.

WHOOOO
CARES
WINS

>Peace Sells, So Far, So Good.. so what! Rust in Peace and Countdown to Extinction all released in order
>consistently average

Phantom Lord, Madhouse, Hell Awaits, Holy Wars... The Punishment Due

Metallica: Hit The Lights
Slayer: Angel of Death
Megadeth: Tornado of Souls
Anthrax: I don't like Anthrax

bad post

Metallica - Creeping Death
Megadeth - My Last Words
Slayer - Praise of Death
Anthrax - Armed and Dangerous

R IS FOR RED, ANCESTORS BLOOD IN BATTLES THEY'VE SHED
youtube.com/watch?v=2ZqYtb94GqU

t. anthrax fan

Good fucking choices. I love the cheesefest that is Armed and Dangerous.

What the fuck is this production
youtube.com/watch?v=be7iNHw8QoQ

>Belladonna tries singing a song Turbin sang
>Belladonna tries singing a song Bush sang
>Bush tries singing a song Belladonna sang

Metallica: Battery
Slayer: Hell Awaits
Megadeth: Take No Prisoners
Anthrax: no good songs

Metallica - Master of Puppets
Megadeth - Hanger 18
Slayer - Behind the Crooked Cross
Anthrax - Madhouse

good man

very very true

I like KIMB best, but everyone calls me a megadeth fanboy so im prob biased

Youre leaving out "So Far, So Good...So What?"

Slayer or Megadeth

Slayer had more direct references to satan which is nice.

Kill Em All is basically groove metal

anthrax lol

>Kill 'em All is basically groove metal
No, that one is justice

Never mind I have severe mental retardation from attending the ND-USC rape fest last night

Metallica - Ride the Lightning

Megadeth - The Killing Road (underrated af) or Tornado of Souls

Slayer - South of Heaven or Angel of Death

Anthrax - idk dont like them much

Show No Mercy > KEA > KIMBaBIG > FoM
Hell Awaits > RtL > PSbWB > SFSGSW > StD
RiB > RiP > MoP > AtL
RiB is overall the best thing that has ever been released by the Big 4
Thoughts?

Metallica

The worst one in the pic is the Megadeth album.

I agree with everything except your entire take on Megadeth.

>Rust In Peace
>Peace Sells
Average
Nah, my dude.

Metallica: Whiplash
Slayer: Tormentor or At Dawn they Sleep
Anthrax: Armed and Dangerous
Megadeth: Five Magics

Exodus should replace Anthrax in terms of the Big Four of American thrash metal

I think Bonded By Blood is godly, but nothing else they did comes even remotely close

bands with one good album and half a dozen other good songs don't count user

One of the German big 3 that actually made the Genre. I'll go with Sodom. Fuckin D.C. shoes all up in here

fuck you

Doesn't matter. Megadeth is the best out of all of them and still put out quality records. Dystopia kicks ass

Like Anthrax

Anthrax doesn't have a single good album or song though,

i'm a great slayer fan, but metallica first album is was better

>hurr I still buy new Megadeth CDs it doesn't matter

Megadeth wins

why does it matter when iron maiden was better then all of them?
