Camps were real, but what they said happened in them and the numbers are bogus. It wasn't all Jews, the camps weren't there simply for exterminating people and it wasn't 6 million people (specially not 6 million Jews). It's not even like this is new thing either, the numbers have had serious doubt on them for many many years but anyone seeking to find the absolute truth is called a "anti-Semitic". Holocaust is a boogeyman's tale, I'm sure us Americans killed more non-combatants in our bombing campaigns than the Germans killed in their camps. Internment camps, OP. The Germans recorded in meticulous detail the deaths in all of their internment camps. This number skyrocketed as the Nazis started to lose the war, and supply lines were cut off. Almost 100,000 people died in the camps, of which a fifth were jews.
The same thing would have happened to the Japanese in American internment camps had the Nazis somehow been successful and cut American supply lines off. We'd have the Japanese Holocaust entered by the victors into the history books, with all the attendant embellishments deemed necessary for both propaganda and reparations.
20,000 interred jews dying of typhus or starvation is a lot, I'm not knocking the extent of the misery. It's why Hitler wanted to move them all to Madagascar. There are official death certificates from auschwitz which contents align with the radio transmissions the brits intercepted coming from auschwitz. Other than that.... there doesn´t exist a single document regarding planned mass killings. There were of course people executed, but not for shits´n giggles.

Some camps have gas chambers, some don´t. Some chambers were never used, some were used only for delousing of clothing. Also some/most of the chambers in the soviet controlled area were actually "rebuild" (i.e. constructed for the first time) after the war (testimony from the director of the auschwitz museum on video tape).

All I can tell you is that when I first started browsing /pol, I SWORE to myself that no matter how far to the right I ended up, there is no way I could believe that the holocaust didn't happen.
