Bandcamp Thread

These seem to be dying out lately. Not enough bandcampers left or are there other reasons?

Unironically enjoy this, its amusing.

Dark, moody, with a heavy country twang. Love it.

The problem is that none of us give feeds back, thus decreasing the likelihood of people wanting to post in the first place because why post if nobody’s gonna give a shit?
I’m gonna feedback everyone becuase I care for my bandcamp bros

Listened to “boogie noir”
I like the feeling of the song, it sounds like being slightly uncomfortable in a place you don’t know
The buildup is really nice dude, gave me some chills.
I think it would be better if you didn’t drown the song in effects tho, makes it to muddy for my opinion
Possibly consider tweaking your overall tone? The distorted guitar winds up sounding really cheep sometimes.
I’m not one to speak but your voice is impossible to hear, but I’m shit at recording voices so I can’t judge.
The track also seams to drag on a bit to much
There’s defiantly something here man, keep at

I’ve listened to your stuff before man
It’s good but not really special
You for sure have the talent now just work on standing out!
You got it man

“I dived into the data scape and reassured my girlfriend who was made up of code”
That’s the adventure I had when I listened to your grooves
I wouldn’t really listen to this in my free time, but I could see this being The soundtrack to a sci-fi, retro indie game.
It’s not bad by any means, just an acquired taste

Reminds me of the teen titans intro song lmao
That’s not a bad thing
You and your band for sure have chemistry, but you don’t really stand out
I feel like I’ve heard these instrumentals before, and some done better.
Possibly try experimenting with your sound more friend.

>“I dived into the data scape and reassured my girlfriend who was made up of code”
is that from something?

Dude start working on soundtracks for visual novels
You defiantly know what your doing
Your tracks are soft and mellow but still very interesting

I kinda just had a bland expression in my face when listing to this
Not really sure what criticism to give

Dude this is some good shit.
I love the atmosphere you create in each song dude
I’m a sucker for your softer tracks And would love to do some spoken work over them
Hit me up for a collaboration man!

Kinda like attic abasment but with less effort and thought
You’ve got talent dude, I see some really good songs hiding underneath laziness and depression
Get your shit together man, your music deserves better

No, that’s just a line that came to me while listning

Very bandcamp
Not in love, but I can see real effort and time was put into this. Congrats on giving your art the nurtureing it deserves, keep at it!

It’s noise

I gave feedback to everyone :)

Thank you for the critique, very indepth.

It’s not even good noise if we’re being honest. It’s boring and looses interest like 30 seconds in.
This is good noise

I think it's because MileyCurseword keeps spamming Soundcloud generals (same exact sentences and he posts one every day even if the old one is still up) and people tend to just post in there instead. It's a little sad really because my impression of Bandcamp threads previously were like it was a community.

Strong recc, loved from a previous thread, good distinctive sound
Love you work and want to hear more in the future
Another recc from a previous thread, great Cormac McCarthy-core, would be great for an adaptation of Suttree

Not much I can say about this other than it's some pretty fuzzy pop music. Good sense of melody, dreamy hazy atmosphere, just the right amount of reverb, the vocals aren't completely drowned out and it doesn't sound muddy. Rather sweet sound, user, downloaded

Man, this is that nostalgic vaporwave sound I love. If I had any money to my name I would buy your music. Reminds me of late nights on Ridge Racer, Wipeout or Super Monkey Ball. Fucking awesome stuff, man

I try to give feedback but I know I'm guilty of not always doing it either. I do miss the sense of community these threads used to have though.

Listening to your stuff, Short Songs is very quaint. The guitar on Portrait is gorgeous to listen to. I do feel it overpowers the vocals a bit but I assume it's intentional to have that drowned out whimper-like sound. If it is, it does work. I'm not as keen on the vocals but that's probably just my personal preference, I don't tend to listen to much emo or math rock so vocals like that are probably something I'm just not as used to hearing. I like some of the electronic tinkering you have on Genesis on Confessionals too. Nice work, man

Acoustic indie pop, lots of strings and pianos and theremins

Any thoughts very much appreciated.

Nice voice. I prefer the more standard song structure of Short Songs though.

Damn, listened to your stuff since The Monster, glad to see you still going!

very nice

Bandcamp threads have been dead since people starting to guilt others into listening to their music, instead of creating it simply for the joy of creation, bandcamp threads became about reward.

So all the people who actually gave a shit about making music left because the threads just became toxic 'me me me' threads, with stupid rules about recs and people getting told off for not posting correctly.

People got annoyed that their drop-down-menu-effect ambient album they made in an afternoon wasn't getting as much attention as albums that took months to write and record and were actually good were getting. I used to post in Bandcamp threads all the time for years, this is the bandcamp thread time line:

>bandcamp threads are wastelands
>over time a few decent dedicated artists post in them, even though no one cares they keep it up and eventually because their music was pretty good, and they gave a shit about other people's music they became popular
>lots people thought 'hey I want some of that glory' and made mediocre albums and started posted them
>those same people got annoyed that no one was treating their music the same as the original artists
>start demanding that people don't post until they've reviewed and shit like that to make sure all music gets the same level of exposure despite the fact the music is not the same quality, and they didn't work for it
>ruin it for everyone
>most people get bored and fuck off
>bandcamp threads are wastelands

You care wayy too much
