like i posted before i would mainly want not-samsung ssd's to come out and be like $500~$1000 ssd's. similar to how not-samsung 2TB came out and was a lot cheaper.

TL;DR The only thing the Intel kernel bug fix affects (for the most part) is M2 SSD performance. In some cases you'll see a 30% drop. Looks like it'll still be way faster than a regular SSD, but given the price you should take a second look before getting an M2.
As for a Ryzen laptop, sadly I'm an Intel faggot.

I think this could actually be a conspiracy by intel to have a monopoly on the market and high-prices similar to ibm in the past. And it may only get worse. Samsung 960 pro nvme pcie m.2 2TB was the fastest m.2 ssd. And wha'ts the fastest now? Intel optane nvme pcie. Coincidence? Maybe not.
