> soccer is the sport that requires the most ski-
wait what? this slow fucker who can't even dribble 5 feet is the leading league scorer in Europe? But I thought you needed to be tremendously balanced and skilled to be a good player? Have you europoors been lying to me this whole time?

but he isn't

If soccer is so easy how comes Americans are so bad at it? Before you use the "we don't care" excuse, you put more money in this sport than all Latin America put together and we are still better than you

You really going to argue this when the GOAT baseball player was fat as fuck and that there are players in football whose entire job is kicking a a ball a few times per game?

>Before you use the "we don't care" excuse

Well, we don't. Soccer is the 5th most popular team sport in the US (6th if you count NASCAR), and MLS is smaller than college basketball or college football.

>you put more money in this sport than all Latin America put together

Source? Also, remember that a lot of that funding goes to women's soccer. Title IX and all that.

He's skilled at finishing which makes up for the flaws in his game.

He also benefits from the fact our league is shit if he was playing in a tougher league he wouldn't have those numbers.

You certainly put more money in soccer than Argentina, you hire tons of foreign players and coaches to teach you play (not just now, since the Pele era), you have better academies and stadiums than us and we are still miles ahead of you

Plus, we have 1/8 the American population

Because soccer is literally like the last choice for any good male athlete in America. And we are still good enough to compete with powerhouses like Belgium and Spain. But it's the first choice for our best female athletes which is why we are the best in the world at women's soccer. Its a fact we have the best athletes in the world and it's irrefutable that we would dominate if we cared about men's soccer. Imagine Lebron as a CM. He would rape any midfield singlehandedly. If fellaini can be an effective CM Lebron would be a ballon dor candidate

Leading goal scorer is Messi

>You certainly put more money in soccer than Argentina

Again, source?

>you hire tons of foreign players and coaches to teach you play

Those people they are teaching are mostly rejects from other sports.

>you have better academies

We didn't even have academies until 2008.

>and stadiums

So what? Qatar is going to have some amazing stadiums in a year or two, you think that's going to make them good?

As if population has ever been relevant. Japan and Mexico both have populations 10 times as large as that of the Netherlands or Belgium.

>powerhouses
>belgium
fucking kek you truly are clueless about football

Ya, they are also pathetic at sports

Ain't LeBron a handegg reject? He turned to be GOAT at basketball

The "reject" arguement makes no sense, lot of world class athletes started with other sports

First of all we aren't a powerhouse, secondly you absolutelly cannot compete with us. I don't think there's a american player who would be a starter in our team.

Pulisic is better than Hazard was at 17 dude

>theres only two skills , dribbling and balance

no faggot theres skills such as poaching and having amazing first touch like Klose

are you the only guy hyping pullisic? it seems like youre the only one who believes this bullshit

where was pullisic when Argentina BTFO USA?

So? Hazard wasn't a starter for the NT at the age of 17

Just by the fact that your "star" is a 17 years old kit it shows how shitty your NT is

>powerhouses like Belgium and Spain

this is like saying

>powerhouses like Wizards and Miami Heat

>arguing with a redditor
look at his cry for attention post stye, just ignore him

>Ain't LeBron a handegg reject?

Not exactly. He was great at football, but he was so ridiculously good at basketball that it would have been retarded for him not to go into it.

>The "reject" arguement makes no sense

Maybe I'm not explaining it properly. Soccer is generally looked down upon as a sport for women and mexicans. Men play the big four sports. That's why it's so common for boys to play soccer when they're very young alongside another sport, then focus only on that other sport once they reach the age of 10 or 11. If you're still playing soccer after the age of 12, then you're most likely:

1. Mexican (in which case you'll be working as a landscaper in 5 years anyway)
2. Too weak/slow/uncoordinated to play football, basketball, baseball, or hockey.

Doesn't mean he'll end up becoming better.

>And we are still good enough to compete with powerhouses like Belgium and Spain.

You're delusional.

*age of 10 or 11 at most

Oftentimes it's even younger, like 7 or 8.

So, Americans are just too dumb to realise they could make more money if they played soccer instead of "big sports" like ice hockey?

What? Pulisic has proved he can dominate at any level. He was the youngest player to score in a CL game. He would be a starter on almost every national team.

>MUH ATHLETES

>American flag
Disregard post, folks

>Pulisic has proved he can dominate at any level
What the fuck did he dominate?

>Imagine Lebron as a CM. He would rape any midfield singlehandedly.

lmao.

name one world class footballer player over 6ft6 ever. literally one single player

Yer mum bitch

>Americans are just too dumb to realise they could make more money if they played soccer

The average MLB or NBA player player earns more than Isco.

And either way, little kids aren't thinking about the money, and their parents aren't really either. Most parents don't think their kid will become a pro athlete, and that's not their goal. It's just about having fun. Also, the parents who do care about that are just thinking about getting their kid to become a pro athlete, at which point they are set for life no matter what sport they play.

The Bundesliga he's the youngest player to ever score two goals in a game

>What? Pulisic has proved he can dominate at any level

What the hell are you talking about? He's a minor player on a good team, he's not dominating anything.

My point is if Fellaini can be decent then Lebron would be world class

That's not dominating, that's a meaningless stat. The youngest player to score in the NBA finals is Darko Milicic, who I'm sure you heard of because he went on to become a superstar...

>The average MLB or NBA player player earns more than Isco.
Is that's true then I understand why Americans don't play soccer

That's the excuse you should use, not "muh athleticism"

lmao, he isnt decent. he is also 4 inches smaller

GREAT ARGUMENT!!!

why would he be good? why has no player of that height ever been good at this game in its 150+ year history? what makes him different?be very, very specific

By your logic a 230cm player would dominate the NBA because he can just dunk over all players without even jumping

It isn't all about size

That doesn't make any sense, Fellaini isn't good because he's tall.

It is true, but I'm not saying that it has anything to do with "muh athleticism". It's the fact that American culture looks down on soccer. It's a women's sport, and men who play it are considered effeminate. That has a huge effect on how children view the sport, and leads to the most coordinated kids choosing to play other sports.

The we don't care excuse is somewhat valid. Great athletes are drawn to different sports here because they are more popular. You think some redneck burger father is going to enroll his son in soccer?

I think our development is shit. No clubs, just college shit. Most ODPs only take rich kids not the most talented kids.

>And we are still good enough to compete with powerhouses like Belgium and Spain
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
we, a team that only has one (1) copa america (and it was brought) beat you twice in your home soil in the last copa america; don't get ahead of yourself cause you managed to get scrappy draws in meaningless matches

>No clubs, just college shit

This isn't true. Every MLS team has its own academy now (started about 10 years ago), and there are tons of private clubs. But like you said, the private clubs are mostly about tricking rich parents to give away their money.

President Trump has soccer as his main sports and he ain't no manlet nor Mexican

lmao @ all the triggered subhuman yuropeons

soccer is a weak bitchboy sport that only kids, wall builders, girls, and fags play here

America has the 5th highest football playing population in the world.

>muh no one cares
>muh no one plays

utter nonsense. you are just generally terrible at global-level team sports

>lebeta doing anything on a soccerfield
No

President Trump was exactly the type of weak spoiled rich kid who played soccer in high school. Probably wasn't good enough for anything else. Also, he said nice things about it once, there's almost no chance that it's his #1 sport.

How the fuck is soccer a sport for rich people? It's literally the most plebeian ball sport in the world, it's always related to working class people

>America has the 5th highest football playing population in the world.

And they're mostly women. Boys overwhelmingly drop the sport by the time they turn 12.

>you are just generally terrible at global-level team sports

We don't really play a lot of global-level team sports though. The likes of rugby/cricket/handball are basically unknown. In the global team sports that are popular here (basketball, hockey, baseball) we tend to do pretty well. When was the last time the US basketball team lost a game? 2006?

>It's literally the most plebeian ball sport in the world, it's always related to working class people

Not in the United States. Here, it's a sport related to the upper-middle class, suburban families. It's a chance for Becky to have fun and maybe get a scholarship. The phrase "soccer mom" is common here for a reason.

The working class sports in the US are football and basketball, and to a lesser extent baseball.

these are the only outfield players that are the same height as lebron

SUCH GREAT WORLD CLASS PLAYERS!!!!!!

LEBRON WOULD BE A STICK-ON GOAT!!!!!

You suck at hockey

Oh, you mean ice hockey, the sport played by like 0.0000000001% of the world population?

>And they're mostly women

wrong

You were #1 in the >FIFA Rankings, one year after we took you to extra time.

Sounds like you're wrong on both counts.

Of course I mean ice hockey. What other kind of hockey is there? Street hockey?

Really? Soccer is the most popular sport for women here by far. But either way, they are mostly young children, who drop the sport by the age of 11/12 and never play it again. It's not considered a serious sport here, it's for women and a glorified daycare for small children.

>fifa rankings

Meaningless

>one year after we took you to extra time.

And lost 2-1....if the 76ers take the Warriors to overtime but lose, does that mean that they are now capable of competing with the Warriors? Or does it mean that they're a shit team that got lucky?

Stop lying burger. Even city team are predominantly minorities, except Utah because of its 95% white population

Hockey, without ice

It's like the 3rd or 4th most popular sport in the world (we dominate it btw)

embarrssing delusion,

you wouldn't even qualify for the world cup if you played in Europe.

wind your neck in champ, you have no clue

>Hockey, without ice

So you guys use rollerblades?

Lol do all these europoors not even watch soccer? Fellaini is good cause he is strong and tall and wins every header and can keep possession. Lebron is physically better than Fellaini in every way so he would be insane in Peps system. Him and Pogba would dab so hard on bitches

@75893000

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Lebron, even if he could develop the skills to be a world class mid (he couldn't) would disappear more frequently than ozil.

Better examples would be kobe as a forward, pre-injury rose as a full back, Chris Paul as an attacking mid, Dwight Howard as a goalie, Tony Allen as a center back or a running back as a winger

No, talking about "hockey" without an adjective next to it, the one played on grass

We also dominate rollerblades hockey btw

>grass

How do you play hockey on grass? What makes the puck move?

>Dwight Howard as a goalie
That bum is the laziest piece of shit in the world and if you think a 7 footer can get low enough to block any decent shot you are wrong

Field hockey burger stop being a dumbass
Its literally played here

Never heard of it. Is it a regional thing, like jai alai?

>the Americuck BLACKED meme is real

>all black guys
That sure works for England, Belgium, Holland and African nations

Good point, plus he's soft as shit. I feel like an athletic 7 footer could get low, though someone like Yao couldn't. Maybe someone with insane wingspan but not as tall would be better, like Leonard or oladipo

I listed 5 players bud, and USA showed for a hundred + years a lot can get done with a bunch of blacks so long as there is one white dude keeping watch. Have a dude like Gordon Hayward play mid box to box and captain the side and you're golden

>Have a dude like Gordon Hayward play mid box to box and captain the side and you're golden

Heyward is 6'8", he's not playing anything other than goalkeeper.

Those are horrible examples except maybe Paul. You need to think a lot smaller. Pedroia, Edelman, Welker, that sort of guy. Agile, short, good footwork, quick decision-making.

Ginobili isn't a 7foot gyganigga and he grew up in a soccer nation and he still sucks at soccer

it isn't as easy as you think

LeBron is scared of soccer. He knows he'd get exposed

The one thing i've always wondered about this "YOU CARE ABOUT SOCCER AS MUCH AS vs NO WE DONT" argument is why exactly are both of you so dead set on proving something completely pointless to each other?

or are you just protecting your egos?
