Horror thread

Halloween is over but that doesn't mean the spooky times have to end. What horror movies are you watching tonight, Sup Forums?

Lights Out. I'm expecting it to be shite.

Trying to find some zombie-kino.

Zombi 2 had some good parts, but ultimately lacking. Going to rev up Cemetery Man next.

thinking maybe C.H.U.D
I want something good but also light.
Pontypool would suit this category but I'm looking for something new.

I've been trying to watch a horror movie for a week but I just end up jerk off and falling asleep afterwards.

My list is in no order, I watched so many movies it's hard to remember when I watched what. What horror movies did you guys watch this October?

I only did 2 Hallow kino this year, but I did my favorite:

halloween 78'
sleepy hollow

Can we all agree Phantasm: Ravager was a huge disappointment? It was fun to see Reggie, Angus and A. Michael again and the script had some interesting ideas but every other part of the movie was a mess. Most of the new actors were pretty bad, the way the movie was shot/lit is hideously amateur and doesn't fit in with the other Phantasm movies, and the CGI/green screen is absolutely terrible.

Went through the hills have eyes, texas chainsaw massacre and a few zombie flicks.
Overall was dissapointed they weren't as good as i remembered them. Trying to find some good horror to make up for it.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a masterpiece though, senpai. Anyway, which zombie flicks did you watch?

>Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a masterpiece
The first one maybe, but the other 4 movies were a chore to get through.
>which zombie flicks did you watch?
Day of the dead and Return of the living dead.

I burnt myself out and I need a break. I'm watching Rocky tonight.

>but the other 4 movies were a chore to get through.
2 is a solid comedy but I agree that the rest of the series is pretty bad. After 3 the series became unwatchable.
>Day of the dead and Return of the living dead.
Great films. Were you really disappointed by them?

No the zombie ones were fine it's the texas chainsaw and the hills have eyes that got me.
I remembered them being way scarier, but i felt like i was watching shlock.

>Halloween ends
>Day of the Dead begins

Where my spics at?

The first TTCM still holds up pretty well but you're right about The Hills Have Eyes. It's very entertaining but it's pure schlock that doesn't scare anymore.

Bad crop

Christ you went all out reminded me of a few i wanted to watch so i guess i'll have an extended halloween.

I've been sick for several days so I'm postponing my Halloween celebration. Once I'm well I plan on marathoning some Hammer Horror, especially the Dracula series with Christopher Lee

Damn son, is that stuff you watched this October or is that stuff you're gonna watch this month?

am I a weirdo because I got hard when Michael killed the girl with braces in the Halloween(Remake) i had so many questions! did they bury her with her braces locked locked on? did they take her braces off for the wake? how much did the ortho charge for post-mordem braces removal?

You're a weirdo, senpai. Although I say embrace the weirdness and go ask Rob Zombie for answers.

AquĆ mi amigo

watch Train to Busan

south korean zombie movie. it has flaws but its the best zombie movie I have watched so far

Damn...

I'm going to watch taking my time probably a good 2 months.

I watched these:

Enjoyed the most
-Lake Mungo
-Rosemary's Baby
-Inland Empire
-The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 1974
-The Others
-Nosferatu 1922

Really great but not flawless
-It Follows
-The House of the Devil
-Re-Animator
-The Wicker Man 1973
-Rec
-An American Werewolf In London
-Ring
-The Fly
-Jacob's Ladder
-Vidodrome
-Tales Of Halloween
-Trick R' Treat
-Evil Dead 1 & 2

Just a good watch
-Kill List
-Martyrs
-Dead Alive
-Evil Dead 2013
-Crimson Peak
-Warm Bodies
-Scream 2
-You're next
-The Descent
-The Conjuring 2
-The Babadook (As a side comment, the mother and the kid were fucking intolerable but I quess they were meant to be like that. Really enjoyed the disturbing potrayal of overwhelming anguish from the mothers perspective as shown in the film)
-Halloween 2
-The Fright Night (both the original & 2011 version)

Didnt really enjoy that much
-The Purge
-Halloween 3
-Halloween remake
-VHS

The scariest for me were definitely Inland Empire, Lake Mungo and Rosemary's Baby. I've noticed that watching horror movies has become much more easier the more Ive seen them, but the lake scene in Lake Mungo and the overwhelming feeling of dread left me restless for a couple of days.

>all those dated turds
jesus christ, ive been on a rewatching spree of the old horror movies, cant say many of them hold up
the modern editing and camera work really spoiled me, watching organical dawn of dead now is like slowly piercing my eyes with needles
why are old thrillers and horrors so needlessly long? fuck me

My retarded internet went out last night. =(
So my Halloween movie experience ended on a shitty note with As Above, So Below.

Anyway, I saw.....

Fright Night (1985)
Halloween (2007)
Friday the 13th Parts 1-8
Frankenstein (1931)
The Fly (1986)
Dracula Untold
Aliens
Ernest Scared Stupid
Halloween III: Season of the Witch
Young Frankenstein
Creepshow
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)
VHS Viral
Tucker and Dale vs. Evil
Night of the Living Dead (1968)
Scooby-Doo (2002)

>Enjoyed the most
>Lake Mungo
>The Others

>Really great but not flawless

>Videodrome
