ikr. part of the appeal was that you could do pointless silly shit and fuck around endlessly. it was simple and generally the community was a lot more tolerant of shenanigans.
over the years and specially after the meet your match update, the servers are more intense and tend to be full of tryhards (because ranks and XP are attached to winning and tryharding). i mean im okay with people playing the objective, but on the whole its more serious and fast now instead of lighthearted fun.
what hurts more is that rarely have i come across any other game that was as "fun" and easy to use to destress. so instead of queuing up for casual I join community servers where people just dick around a lot more.
