If you buy something for 130, sell at 150, buy at 150, sell it again at 180, buy at 190, sell it at 250...

If you buy something for 130, sell at 150, buy at 150, sell it again at 180, buy at 190, sell it at 250, buy at 290 how much money have you gained or lost Sup Forums?

Pic unrelated, just to get your attention.

I rrrrrrrrly dont care....

It's ok most people can't figure it out.

assuming the thing is useless? 180 and a lot of time.

Im ok with you thinking that cause i rrrrrrrrrly still dont care

you're down 180

this

nah i dont think so

OP are you talking total amount you lost or amount lost on the transactions FOLLOWING the initial buy?

you're 10 in profit.

actually a little tougher than i thought it would be... you're 20k in profit i think?

240

you made 110 from selling at a higher price, then lost 290 by buying something useless was my logic. Or you could say that you made 70 + value of the object.

OP here... object will continue to rise in profit. I'm speaking specifically right now, what is my loss/gain total?

Agree with down for 240

agree with this, think you gained 10.

im not good at math at all and im baked so im not even gonna try to tackle this and fuck you for even wanting us to, but at least this shit isnt a trap or blacked thread christ

before you bought it the last time, you were up 110. Then you bought it again, losing 290. So you have 110-290=-180 + the current value of the object.

how was he up 110?

you wont be in profit again until you sell again. I think?

you buy for 130 // -130
you sell for 150 // +150
you buy for 150 // -150
you sell for 180 // +180
you buy for 190 // -190
you sell for 250 // +250
you buy for 290 // -290

let's add all this up: -180
But you also have the something, so it's -180 + current value.
If you're unable to work these things out OP, you shouldn't be playing with the stock market.

because everytime he sold it he sold it for more than he had bought it.

so first he invests 130 and sells for 150.
he gained 20.
buys for 150, he had to invest 20 gained. so now 0.
sells for 180, still 0, buys for additional 10 invested, so -10.
sells for 250, making 60, minus 10, 50 profit.
buys for 290, investing additional 40.
10 profit.
/thread

OP here.. Bingo! Nice job to these two.

And no you misread my intention, was just posing my current situation to Sup Forums to see the results is all :)

they are wrong though, you're up 10 lol

Question was how much money. Not value

yep, that's just me posting twice though..

wrong. hes talking profit. think you misunderstood. or i did.

current value??

You've lost 290.

Not OP.

agree with this, what am i missing here?

No matter what you win or lost. If you like it go for it.
The important is not the arrival, it's the journey to get there.

I think you've gained 10

I agree

You lost $180, but you got a really well worn in dildo.

I think you lost 180? Why are there so many varying responses

>Why are there so many varying responses
Methodological errors, or a fundamental misunderstanding of what is being asked?

You have lost 180 but still have current value of the item.

yikes Sup Forums cant do maths

The original -130 an additional -180

You are at -310 + Value of Item right now.

this.
