You can buy them really cheap. Like 150 bucks cheap. It won't be the best but it's still a functioning trumpet. There's even plastic ones that are even cheaper. It's really easy to play too. And the good thing about brass is that if you learn one you can easily learn others. I started off on horn but a lot of fingerings are the same on trumpet, souzaphone, mellophone etc. However, switching between mouthpieces can mess up your lips and you might end up being able to technically play all but sound shitty on each one
