I'd ask that dude if he has a suicide bomb vest on.

Which guy? There’s a few sketchy characters in here

Finish your course and shut the fuck up. That's what I'd do, you entitled little prick

Muh triggers

Quads and I’ll do it.

ITS ON

You could start with a small pan of 6 million dollars from your dad.

Any of you enjoy thermodynamics?

lol im happy im in art school even though ill never make money

Art isn’t even a thing.
Genuinely shit like this pisses me off
Same with ‘animal management’
And ‘LGBT’
And ‘Antifa’
We need another world war
Go and do something productive to society please

>not getting scholarships, so you can graduate debt free
Lol, dumbass

6.5k a year bursary from the government that isn’t gettinf paid back, who’s laughing now?

> be you
>wait 30 years realising how shitty and miserable your life is
>wish you had spent 3 years of your shitty life doing some fucking work and quit bitching about it on the internet
>kill yourself

be a fucking man.

Waste of space shithead

People like me who got full scholarships that didn’t require being from an impoverished family.

Don’t really have a shitty life, I mean motorsport as a hobby is one of the best things I’ve done
This degree allows for a 60-100k salary

Here’s my turbo I picked up yesterday

Don't listen to this user.

The education system is beyond fucked at this point. Worthless NEET or double PHD, none of it matters anymore.

lol its not just art. I learn to design anything visual. if it doesnt interest you thats alright but every game and every movie and every poster and every wll painting or street art is made by artists. art dates back longer than the wheel does so its fundamental in humanity.

The Job I enjoy the most in the engineering sector is design, but its productive
Not just some tits on a wall

Education in the UK seems pretty solid. Not sure about the US
We do all end up in the same hole in the end tho

True but youre not being productive right now being on Sup Forums. does that matter? no because people need leasure. and you can make a job out of anything. it isnt like artists themselves are non productive. ive met people who works harder than 99% of you in the artistic sector. working 90 hours a week to finish their project which will be shown to millions of people puts a huge amount of stress on you. i wonder how many could take it. and if only engineers would work on games or whatever you would only get something practical, which is usefull in the stone age but we can afford more now so why wouldnt we.

Well I could argue i am being productive because I can multitask.
My argument for art, is how does it contribute to making society better?
I’ve no doubt they work hard, but for what? Recognition from other people?

why only asians and blacks in your class?

I also study 35 hours a week and work 42 hours a week. That’s through choice to Fund the motorsport.
I’m not saying I woke harder than anyone else.
Tbh full time hours should be 70 hours a week, but lots of people are lazy

minority scholarships

There’s whites too

What about designing a bridge that will have millions of people travelling over it. Or a aeroplane, that’s if it crashes and it’s considered a design flaw, you go away for manslaughter? That’s pretty stressful

Ask a 40 year old uneducated poorfag if you should finish your degree. protip: Stop complaining, your degree is an instant ticket to higher pay.

How did you end up in your situation?

I dropped out of uni and have no regrets. But it will definitely make your life harder in many ways. At the same time my university was free and I had no debts. If I had to pay I would be even more certain I made the right choice.

Information is already free and accessible nowadays, to start your own business there is not a single thing you can't learn by yourself.

At the same time, if you want a job that you will do for the rest of your life then you should totally finish your studies, would be probably healthier, physically and psychologically.

If you are like me and like to change jobs, travel around and so on, a degree is much less helpful.

Also the trend is more and more people having degrees, which will cause an oversupply of "skilled" workers and, therefore, decrease salaries (and vice-versa with more handy jobs).

To be honest, if university makes you depressed and you will have to work for many years just to pay it off, just gtfo.

Cheers

People who studies several years ago when a £1250 bursary covered half your tuition fees for the year.

Are you studying in Swansea?

I’m not chasing money, I’m chasing passion. Just the amount of unrelated theory that I have to look into annoys me. But if I dont sit through this meanial shit I can’t get the level I want to work at

Ljmu

freshman
chem 101 is a joke. you couldnt pay me to sleep through that class again

2nd year actually 3 left

so what the fuck is this post about? Just take it.

Went through a sciences degree and am well off now. Considering going to art school just to reconnect with that aspect of my life. Creativity seems to seep out of your life when you've been in a field like mine. I still enjoy psychedelics though which keeps me more connected then many of my peers I feel

Just wanted a chat

Not impoverished but very low middle class. Parents worked factory and low paying jobs. They kept a roof over my brother's head and mine but couldn't afford to put us through school but helped and supported us getting in. Now 23, with $250,000 in student loan debt because went to a private school. gg no re

Needs more shooters

Use your op passport and diploma to move to a new place with op job, default on debt and profit.

rev win.

Sorry to hear user. Not only are you naive as fuck to think you can walk out of uni into a £60-£120k job just because you have an engineering degree, you're studying at a shit-tier university for engineering (41st out of 48).

Even if it's an honours degree and you finish with top-of-the-class grades, you'll get onto a £25k graduate scheme at best with LJMU on your certificate.

Source: BEng & MEng (1st class hons) from a top 10 university in the last 10 years.

Could be worse. The witch hunts have started here.

ksl.com/?nid=157&sid=37366234

Big tip, developing countries have OP salaries for people with diplomas, often better (purchase power parity wise) than the developed world.

Also, better work philosophy.

With the placement and the masters, I’ll walk out chartered. I didn’t buy say I’ll be walking into 60-120k. That’s is end game cash.
I also said that I’m not chasing money rather passion

b1073.com/2018/02/07/unl-protest-raising-awareness-of-white-nationalist-student-scheduled-for-today/

Cuba is looking really good right now.

A chartered engineer with no real industry experience is just another inexperienced engineer, and believe me, the UK is over saturated with them.

Which engineering field are you specialising in?

Motorsport/automotive
Got contacts at M sport rally team and Aston Martin racing

Same exact field as me. Every student has contacts somewhere, so don't rely on them.

Protip - if you get the choice of modules between motorsports or automotive focussed subjects, choose automotive, unless you;re really, REALLY fucking good at the motorsport ones, and are pretty much guaranteed a job at the end of it.

If it's not too late to make sure 'Automotive' is on your degree certificate instead of 'Motorsport' then I strongly suggest you do whatever you can to change it. Real world employers don't think Motorsport sounds flashier than Automotive, and you WILL have a harder time finding a job.

The motorsport is the passion, but I chose a ‘mechanical engineering’ degree over a ‘motorsport’ degree for that reason. I want to do 5-6 years in motorsport and then a nice design job/project manager in a company somewhere that is appreciative of its employees
Inb4/ JLR, BAE, Airbus

Yeah, don't go to any of those three if you want an employer who appreciates you. Especially JLR. Find a company that is still privately owned like a motorsport team or JCB, who pay well as well.

Mclaren Automotive is a good one, but they literally scrape the very best of the cream off the top of the applicant pool.

My best mates brother landed at mclaren after doing the same I am at ljmu.
He’s really happy

Thankyou for the advice too. I’ll defin heed what’s you have suggested. Just some motivation to do better in My studies. I’m getting low 70%s and I’m at about 50% workload

I can guarantee your friend's brother at McLaren wasn't getting low 70s - work harder!

Does the uni have a motorsport society or a Formula Student team you could join? Better downtime will inspire you to better uptime.

I applied for manager this year
