What's wrong with knowing about other countries' actions to help your own? We're taught about Lafayette and how he was a bright young man who helped in battles during the War of Independence and helped lobby for more French support.

Here, no one really care about D-Day or the Americans. Everyone knows that the war was won at the Eastern front.
