Greatest Hits

>Greatest Hits

>not starting off with the greatest hits album then branching off from there

I actually like greatest hits now.
Like if I'm getting into a mainstream group/band I'm going to go for their greatest hits.
I mean it's either that or trawling through all of their albums for 1 or 2 hits.

>only album is Greatest Hits

>Caring about hits

>tfw tongue in cheek but it ended up being legitimately a collection of some of the greatest rock songs of 2017

I now have the urge to name an album "(Band Name)'s Greatest Shits"

why would you pick apart an album like that
you're fucking retarded if you do this

>2017
>listening to full albums

>B-Sides and Rarities

>The Singles

>Greatest Misses

It's good for artists that have albums consisting of 1 or 2 hit singles and the rest being filler, like Queen or early Depeche Mode.

>The Very Best of

>current year
>not listening to full albums
come on mate

But Queen's best songs are album tracks

>band tries to make a good album
>you listen to it in its entirety only to find out that it has about two good songs

Greatest Hits albums are totally appropriate for many pop and dance artists, because most of their albums are filler besides the hits. The only people against greatest hits albums are plebs who only listen to indie.

Pop Rock bands are often guilty of this.
Push Barman and Standing on The Shore are great.

the growler's already did that m8

Styx has a god tier greatest hits album imo. I can't stand their albums but the singles are decent.

i thought you meant like if a band starts a career with a "Greatest Hits" record, then makes other albums after that.
That would be hilarious.

>Greatest Shits

Elvis has a bootleg of that.

The DEA has Chuck Berry's

Probably my mom and a homeless guy

Has been done

>went in expecting it to be bad
>it's actually great
How am I supposed to deal with this

>Greatest Hits
>Band released non-album tracks as singles
I wish this didn't practically completely die out after the 70s.
