If a song doesn't sound good in the first 2 seconds the artist has failed

>doesn't listen any instrumental music

>listens to Lil Uzi Very unironically

>only listens to new albums coming out despite there being so much good, older music they don't know

>"omg user, this is like dad music lol. do you like anything from THIS century?"

this, and when you try to have them listen to it
>"when does the singing start?"

>shuffles music by songs instead of albums
>uses streaming services
>doesn't listen to songs longer than 7 minutes

>listens to a song they don't like because they think its patrician to listen to albums cover to cover

>only listens to old pleb classic rock (AC/DC and Boston) despite there being so much good, new music they don't know.

>listens to any pop music from the current decade

still listening to indie rock from the 00s

> only listens to new or old music despite there being so much silence they don't know

Define "very" unironically versus regular unironically

it's more ironic

>Only listens to music that's in their own language
>Doesn't listen to anything released before they were born
>Avoids anything instrumental that isn't EDM
>Doesn't own physical copies of any music, even their """favourites"""
>Goes on about how much better vinyl sounds while listening to their brickwalled DR6 record on a Crosley
>Has a streaming service subscription
>Listens to music with earbuds
>Doesn't know the name of any musicians in their """favourite""" bands
>Has never even attempted to play an instrument or sing well
>Draws a total blank when asked why they like a particular piece of music

>>Listens to music with earbuds
nigga you ever go outside? Like I'm going to sit on a bus and listen to other people's shitty conversations when noise-canceling earbuds are a thing.

You're confusing earbuds and IEMs (or just "in ears"). They're not the same. I'm talking about pic related, which are always bad with no exceptions.

forgot pic

>>Doesn't own physical copies of any music, even their """favourites"""

Physical copies are antiquated and unnecessary.

Ah, my bad. I was just thinking about that term too generally. But yes I agree now haha.

>Possessing and appreciating something tangible is outdated

You can't inherit a digital copy from a friend or loved one, take it to a live performance and have it signed, flick through the booklet and liner notes, pick it up blind at a music store and find a hidden gem, have it accrue value over the years because you own a first pressing, have your collection start a conversation etc.

There's both utility and sentimental value in physical copies, and people who are truly serious about music almost always own physical copies for that reason. People who don't are usually either poseurs or don't actually care about music, and therefore prefer to have an easily disposable digital library only that they don't have to invest in.

>can't handle jazz
>can't handle classical
>can't handle anything explicitly black like the blues, funk, hip-hop, reggae, afrobeat, etc
>can't handle noise
>actually cares about pitchfork, the needle drop, or any online reviewer at all rather than going solely by own taste and decisions
>can't seek out music without the help of spotify or Sup Forums
>disregards music because it is a "meme" online

>He listens to video game ost's
Absolutely embarrassing

>He doesn't listen to trap music with his single mother in the front seat on the way to school
>He doesn't shit on his single mother for listening to "old music"
>He doesn't have "swag"
>His parents didn't divorce
>He doesn't act like a little brat
>He doesn't wear short shorts and skimpy t'shirt's
>He doesn't act slutty to get what he wants
>He doesn't embrace Afro American culture
>He doesn't have daddy issues
>He listens to old music (2000/10s)
I hope you don't do this guy's.

>Multiple technological innovations have led to the point where we can store entire libraries on phones and play songs in whatever order we want, no longer limited to tracklists
>"nah I'll just listen to entire albums"

The things you own end up owning you.
You’re blowing the sensational aspect out of proportion. Just because something pleasures one does not mean it is good. Every time you listen to something you like, your brain releases dopamine, and so every Sup Forumstant on planet Earth is so doped out that they’ve forgotten how to cherish one piece of art for a prolonged period. Porn for the ears. Soon enough you’ll be spending more on records than you should be, say, hanging with friends, or going on dates.

Maybe some people have that issue. I'm very conservative with my spending and extremely selective about what makes it to the "OK, I'll buy this album" stage.

I do it so I better know what kind of music I dislike, along with what I do like.

Who's your favorite trap rapper?

fast-forwarding to the drops in his favorite edm songs while "reciting" each drop half-heartedly while calling it "sick af bro"

>doesn't listen to full albums

>listens to 80s new wave pop

>He writes off music just because it was made for a game
I kinda know what you're getting at, people that only listen to vidya soundtracks are goobers, but there's also some pretty good stuff there user

>"oh i like that but what if it had vocals?"
? ? ?

only listens to silence when you can just have your ears removed

>doesn't give himself tinnitus to listen to music 24/7

For example?

>not listening to the whole album

>listening to kanye west

>posts waifu grimes threads

People that value lyrics

Seriously you people should kill yoselves

if a song can't grab my attention, it's trash
this is selling literally anything, music or not: 101

Jesus Christ, why did he have to do this over a glass table?

>complains spotify is "worthless and too expensive"
>spends $12 on plebtier pizza

brah this ain't your daddies fedora
it's extreeeeeeeeme

Your wold of walstreet "logic" doesn't apply to art

>turn on the radio in the car and search for the channel with the most popular song playing

I experience this pain almost every week at least once.

youtube.com/watch?v=IYwS6481oQk

>shuffle playing an album

youtube.com/watch?v=OhlW2roqg7Y

"This would sound cool with vocals"
"Is all your music depressing?"
"This song it too long"
"Dude, put this on. Its the new Logic album!"
"This just sounds like noise"
"Aww go back! Leave it here. I love this red hot chili pepper song"

Good stuff

>People who don't are usually either poseurs or don't actually care about music
i agree with your point to a degree but i'd like to point out that some people (myself included) are just poor as fuck and cant justify buying a physical copy of their favourite albums when they should be spending that money on food, it doesnt mean they care about music any less

>thinks of music as a commodity to be sold rather than an art form

>can't appreciate ambient music, find it all 'boring'

>likes Sup Forumscore

she looks fucking grotesque, like her pussy stench would sizzle your nose hairs and cause you to unwillingly vomit.. yuck

>Buys digital music in any form
>Thinks autotune can be a stand-in for talent

>Thinks it isn't both

>not deleting a song they dislike on an album

>not liking every song off an album
