Simply because the grandfather of the xenomorph design drew them with human teeth doesn't mean they're human teeth. The majority of things he drew were never included and thus not canon (the bulbous cock at the back end of the head for example).
Realistically, they don't have human teeth because they're not human. Only humans have human-teeth.

The xeno in Alien was the best design. Cameron's streamlining was nice but removed alot of the mystique and horror from the original.
They were born from humans on the colony so they should've remained the same as the original.
Alien 3 got it right by having the design based on it's host.
The fact that the "EU" had to explain and specifically point out the differing species also doesn't help.
What would really benefit the series is if someone puts their foot down and declares what is rule of god. It'll never happen though.
