Okay Sup Forums, it's time to prove that you're not retarded:

A man buys a horse for $60.
He sells the horse for $70.
He then buys the horse for $80.
And he sells the horse again for $90

How much money did he make or loose?

It obviosly $10, it not even hard

He made $30, right?

I see your newfaggotry with my newfaggotry.

He made $10 each time, or $20 total.

$20?

How are you even alive?

> not retarded
> loose
You lose, retard.

- 60 +70 -80 +90 = 20

He lost 40 dollars.

...

He gained $20 and lost a bunch of time, personally i would not have done it.

Lets say he starts with $100
He the. Buys a horse for $60, that leaves him with $40
He then sells his newly aquired horse for $70 dollars, now he has his $40+$70, which is $110.
He now wants to buy another horse for $80, this leaves him with $30 out of his $110
Then he sells he horse again, thid time for $90, with his $30 thats $120.

Has $60, spends then has horse and $0.
Sells for $70, so he has 10 dollars more than originally.
Uses extra $10 to buy $80 horse.
Now he's down by $20, from his original $60.
Finally, sells for $90, means he is up $30 from original $60.

HE MADE 30 DOLLARS ASSUMING HE HAD 60 TO BEGIN WITH. IF HE HAD 70 TO BEGIN WITH (as may be the case, because he had an extra $10 to purchase for $80)
THEN HE IS UP $20.
either way, horsecuck made a bit of dough.

Does being this stupid actually hurt? As in, when you wrestled this out in your head, did it cause real, physical pain? Please let this be the case.

Spends $60 on horse: -60

Sells horse for $70: +10

Buys horse for $80: -70

Sells horse for $90: +20

Answer: $20.

This should be on the exam you take prior to reproduction.

How am i wrong bro? He either makes $20 or he makes $30. He already had at minimum $60 dollars, so we can't count that as PROFIT. Do you even business study? Go back to college brainlet.

He begins with a net profit of 0
0-60+70-80+90=20
He made $20

why he buy a horse?

...do I really have to explain this to you? I have no frame of reference for your level of retardation...ok, here goes:

>Has $60, spends then has horse and $0.
Well and good.
>Sells for $70, so he has 10 dollars more than originally.
Doing good, Billy.
>Uses extra $10 to buy $80 horse.
Oh, Billy... so close... Has 60, ends up with 70. The extra $10 is going from 60 to 70. That doesn't give you 80.

Enjoy your short bus.

He bought $30 worth of hay and oats to feed the horses, so he lost $10

What about VAT?

>Uses extra $10 to buy $80 horse.

On the off chance you aren't a troll maybe this will help you think. Let's say that Extra $10 comes from a friend. When he has the extra $30 then he owes his friend $10 and only made $20

>implying you can buy a 80 dollar horse for 70
He sold the horse for $70, right?
So he then bought an $80 dollar horse. But wait a minute.... he only had SEVENTY dollars.
He pulled a fat hamilton outta his back pocket and bought the EIGHTY dollar horse.

Everyone who said 20 dollars didn't see that it's "the" horse each time, implying the same horse. therefore he made $10

>pic related im smart

I AM DYING HERE

...not from laughter but from shame.

whoops mistyped he made $20

Buys horse for 60
-60
Sells for 70
+10
Buys horse for 80
-70
Sells for 90
+20

So 20 is profit

oh shit, no i meant that the extra $10 comes from his back pocket. Meaning he had $70 to begin with. You probably read that i meant he used the $10 from the first sale as money for the second purchase lol

The true answer is 90

instructions unclear, dick caught in ceiling fan

He was at a loss of $80 by the 3rd quarter but he was at a gain of $90 by the forth.

It's a shame he couldn't make it 100 but we will try harder next year or we'll fire him.

30. he stated with 60 and ended with 90. straight up 3rd grade math

he made 10 Sup Forumstards

Or he could of started with $100, instead of adding extraneous circumstances to explain the lack of money at different times of purchase.

HE MADE 240 DIPSHIT 60 + 70 + 80 + 90 = 240 CUNTBAG

OP must be an American, you can't buy a house that cheap in a first world country.

He breaks even

Guy made $20. Though with the price of maintaining a horse, he probably net lost.

He made nothing $0 profit

I bought a horse for the equivalent of $40 in my home country Moldova once

70-60=$10
90-80=$10

he made $20... or i'm a fucking retard, these word problem riddles always fuck with my head.
