Why is this movie so great?

Why is this movie so great?

It spawned a franchise that will destroy Disney and save cinema

Don't thank me, thank "Iron Jim" Cameron

Because Based Jimbo directed it and he hasn't made anything less than a 9.5

well, it's not.

you're welcome.

>tfw Jim stuck up for his pal Jorge when asked about his opinion of TFA.

>this is what butthurt haters actually believe

Is it worth a rewatch?

This movie was pretty mediocre. I like how it left basically no impact on pop culture.

>implying it isn't the number one film of all-time that changed cinema forever
cry more

because it was a technical marvel with amazing visuals and well worth the ticket price desu

not that complicated

>almost 8 years later
>marvel and dc shit looks like it came out 8 years earlier than THIS
What the hell happened?

D-do you guys think he'll come back?

It didn't really change anything. It created like a 6 month 3D fad and then everybody forgot about it.

Based Jim does it again

sexy smurfs

>technical marvel
>the shitty star wars prequels did what it did 10 years before Avatar

When Avatar 2 comes out. It will be fucking glorious.

>implying he doesn't lurk and post here anonymously

It literally looks better than 90% of movies that come out today. It wasn't a particularly deep story, but it was well executed with great acting and characters. The sheer spectacle of this entirely alien planet realized with god tier CG is something that has really never been approached before or after. Perhaps the greatest world building with Pandora and the Navi that cinema has ever see, I mean it was on par with a galaxy far, far away.

because it was fun to watch

Yeah, just imagine how many people are going to kill themselves this time.

>great acting
lol fuck off

>the impact on pop-culture meme

Just cause they didn't shill it like Marvel doesn't mean people don't remember it and think of it fondly

>6 month 3D fad

serious question: are you daft?
