Alonslow?

F1 Normies edition

Who do you think could replace Bourdais? Townsend Bell?

Kurt Busch

who deserves a win the most? Unsung likeable drivers like Servia or Carpenter or a small team backmarker?

hawksworth, tagliani, filippi? no idea who is available or fit. It might end up being nobody

Juan Montoya

Takuma Sato

youtube.com/watch?v=hi3aHIwfyTA

though isn't likeable, it is probably Power, considering how many flukey things have kept him from winning it before. hate to say

i guess they would have to get somebody who has passed the rookie orientation right?

Yeah except Secondberg was more than capable of beating Lewis, did it on the regular even in the seasons he lost to lewis.

yeah and they'd have to be ready to put laps in tomorrow

well i suppose we'll know soon enough

Alonslow from the stands today:

youtube.com/watch?v=1zGq9kJmUtU

Could be Briscoe as well, forgot he existed

If he's replaced, it will be an interesting storyline with someone suddenly finding themselves in a competitve situation

the replacement driver would have to be someone who has driven the current Dallara DW12

>Hawksworth

Dale Coyne might as well drive it himself at that point

he used to drive this piece of shit, I think he's ready. Just gotta find a driving suit in his thicc dimensions

>turning right on a turn-left track

well theres your problem!

I think Sato or Hildabrand will win.

My money is on Pic Related.

As for Bourdais replacements, it'll probably be somebody like Sébastien Saavedra, or some meme Indy Lights driver like Zach Veach, or Kyle Kaiser, or even Santiago Urrutia.

Thanks for eating my image Hiroshimoot.

Saavedra and Veach are already in the race bub

Alonso?

It's Absolutely Karam's year. I can just feel it.

ALOTION MOTION.

Aww man, I remember Flippy. He's been gone for so long.

Will Fastkuma Fasto steal the spotlight from Slownando Alonslow?

would be poetry desu

How many bings and bongs until quali starts?

Has Sato once in his career gotten a drive not supported by Honda? In the US he isn't a shitter at least (which is a lot easier though).

He out-drove the Super Aguri in 2007 tbqh

>Davidson
>Ide
who knows what a good driver could have done
he had a few good and entertaining drives but a lot of subpar performances as well which overall made him almost below average for F1 standards
Button has been in F1 for a long time and he never had a worse teammate than Sato in 2005, and it's not even close

>Has Sato once in his career gotten a drive not supported by Honda?
Don't know about supported, but his F3 days were spent with a Renault derivative and his first two seasons in Indy Car used a Lotus engine

god Lotus was so shitty. Jean Alesi and Simona DeSilvestro were black flagged at the 2012 500 for their Lotus powered cars being too slow.

I don't think Lotus has actually been good since the 80's

Practice stream live in about 20 bings

Yes but he probably wouldn't have one now if it wasn't for honda

James Davison replacing Bourdais, apparently

Happy Sunday lads, pre-quali practice is just about to start momentarily and will last for 2 hours

just kill me now

Sébastien no ;_;

It's very sad, he doesn't have many fans here in France, people dislike him I think because he has glasses and look like the guy who sit at the front row in class.
I like you I hope you'll get better and come back !

he's a very likable driver, i really hope he comes back

i thought the rain blew through an hour or so ago & google says there's a 0-7% chance of rain the rest of the afternoon

Cars being wheeled out now

Bring on the zuum

for the whole season?

>the guy who sit at the front row in class.

why is that bad? don't you want to be in the front row in the race :^)

Whats the lowest qualifying position anyone has won the Indy 500 from?

Harroun won the first one from 28th

Sebastien's backup car with James Davison driving is gonna be starting last. Dale Coyne isn't gonna try to qualify it because it's the only car he has left. its a road course car so DCR is gonna have to change some things to make it oval-worthy.

Stupid question but do they brake or only release the throttle of ovals ?

youtube.com/watch?v=OBtKSGvVxw8

they only brake when entering the pits

Is this supposed to be impressive, peanuts are pretty fragile

hunter reay with the 231.992

Ed Jones 233.008

Might have to pick up this coloring book, sounds very robust

they don't lift either unless they're about to hit another car

they will lift in traffic during the race. In traffic the aero on the front wing is significantly reduced which increases understeer and will send them into a wall if they stay flat out, particularly on more worn tires. This is commonly referred to as 'aeropush'.

they also lift if they are alone with full fuel tanks on raceday

2015 Indy - Montoya won from 15th but after few laps he had to pit for repairs and was last or close to last

do they each get one run today or are there multiple attempts?

just 1

fast 9 get one.

the rest get multiple
