R8 my plebness

>Contempt
One of my favorite kinos ever

>The Mirror
Fuck that limpdick daddy problem dream flick. Ivan's Childhood and Solaris are miles better.

>Haneke
Only seen Cache.

>The Hunt
Decent popcorn flick, but not in the same league as The Celebration.

>The Lobster
It was decent. Is it really better than Dogtooth, though?

Seen all of these except Yi Yi

>people on Sup Forums watching anything made before 1990 that isn't some genreshit like Thing or Star Wars or Taxi Driver

lmao

I think L'Avventura is the worst of the trilogy. And that trilogy is worse than Red Desert.

Don't voice your opinion on tarkovsky when you're still below entry level please

...

>unironically using the term genreshit
Go back to /lit/ you pretentious fuck

When will I graduate from entry-level?

wild strawberries sucks

when you stop trying to fit into this dumb Sup Forums/cinephile cult of good taste
just watch what you're interested in

>tfw everyone in your country knows about NBC but none of them seen any of his films
>tfw you can't even talk about these movies
>tfw people come to talk to you about capeshit when you're dealing with your own problems
>tfw you're surrounded with pseudo-intellectuals who writes his own fictions over films
>tfw you're smarter than everyone else around you

Could you give me some pointers?

Le big lebowski reference XD

What a pleb list. Where's Naruse, Lang and Murnau?

the americanized funny games was great, although really it is just shot for shot with better production and better cast IMO with english

Anyone that has holy mountain, Marienbad, or battleship Potemkin on their list I automatically assume to be a tasteless poser, and you have all three.

Persons is miles more complex then Wild Strawberries, in fact, many of Bergman's films are
The Hunt was kinda bad
Dogtooth is great

Marienbad is great you stupid memer.

Ummmm... Einstein made movies?! wtf!!! :S

>more complex means better by default

True sign of a pleb that wishes they were a patrician.

> l'avventura is the worst
i really appreciate red desert and la notte and i love l'eclisse, especially the ending. l'avventura is the one that stayed with me the most though, the alienation, the disillusionment about romance, that final sequence. me, i just fucking love it

you don't have to prove anyone anything man. the mirror is a tough watch, it took me multiple to really get into it. that doesn't mean you have to like it though. i can recommend most films by haneke

>wild strawberries sucks
nah

>ultimate tasteless poser
thank you user, i should change my opinion on these films now. i'll start right away
